The Aurora Inn Hotel and Event Center

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet, clean and spacious. We ate dinner both nights of our stay at 56 Tavern, and fhe food and service were outstanding.

Great location, boutique hotel with restaurant, good lobby coffee, clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was amazing!

I liked it all. It would be nice if they offered a light breakfast but they had a list of places to go to.

Id like to start off that restaurant and the restaurant staff were wonderful. I would return but... When I originally arrived to check in. I was greeted with a bit of attitude and facial expressions by the receptionist. The person that is the face of the establishment. You are the first person we see. She acted as I was bothering her. I did see an event, I assumed she was stressed and brushed it off. We all have bad days. I asked a few question and was not informed and pointed to the stairs for my room. I handed her my ID and bank card. I held my hand out to get it back and she reached past my hand and set it down. Everything about her was unprofessional and her hospitality was nil. We enjoyed dinner, the Hostess was great, our waiter was ok. The food was decent. We decided to check the pool out after dinner. We agreed it was nice and drove and bought swim outfits. We swam, water was great. My wife got out to use the bathroom. I swam a few laps and noticed she was taking some time. I went and knocked on the woman's door, no response, I cracked the door and yelled in. Still no response. We had been at the pool for 2 hours. Not a single person was there or came. It was 20 mins before closing the pool. So I felt comfortable to walk in and check on her. Not like her to take so long. Come to find out they have saunas in the locker rooms. She was enjoying it. I spoke to her briefly letting her know the time. But to our luck the receptionist comes in with another guest. I was walking out. I apologized and TRIED to explain why I was in there. Only to be ignored and the receptionist just turned and talked to the guest like we were not there. She could have handle it like a professional. You could tell she had no training. Or trained by someone else with no proper guest etiquette. I felt bad about it. but was only worried about my wife. We dried off and as we are another worker comes in. I only can assume the night manager. She calls the front desk to ask who it was.... mind you we are the only 2 there. I can hear them talking about us. She wasnt 20ft from us. Very unprofessional. She hangs up the phone and begins to scold me on how we embarrassed them with another guest by me being in there. I tried to explain, I apologized more than once. She didnt want to hear it. When she decided to remind me AGAIN that we embarrassed them. I got angry. . I said im more worried about her safety than yours rules at this point. We heard you, you dont need you to keep attacking us about it. She was obviously more irritated now. She mumbled some words and we left. There was no one else in the area, it was closing. I felt comfortable to walk in and check on her. The place is charming. But we visit hotels for reviews and other people interest on hospitality. We highly recommend finding a place to spend your money where they treat you like a decent person. The receptionist needs to get out of the hospitality business immediately. Im embarrassed for this establishment. Hiring people in this field with rudeness they showed. We will not return and we will be sure to turn people away. Cold showers and cold rooms. But we dealt with those things. Human indecency will not be tolerated. (The rest of the workers we encountered were great)

So charming. Lobby was decked out for Christmas. Super friendly front desk staff.

Great location and friendly staff, cute room, very clean and comfortable. Great price for all the stay.

The heating unit was a little noisy but not annoying.
