Not much

Room smelt funky. Found debris under bed as I reached for something. Scone in stairway had a used kleenex which was there for a long time... Couldn't request a ground floor room due to second party booking, as my lower back was badly aching. Was told i needed to contact hotel directly for request. Not a good experience. Stayed at this establishment 20 years ago and was amazing. I realize things change, but please make an effort to keep up to competition. Updating the outside appearance does nothing for comfortable stay. Breakfast included was a shame.. I've stayed at many other hotels at a cheaper rate that were much better... overpriced!!!
