Citybreak-apartments Douro View

An excellent space. Very clean. Tastefully decorated. Comfortable. Nearby restaurants. An amazing view over the city and river.

1) It would be helpful if a few essentials in the kitchen were added - salt and pepper, cooking oil, sugar packets at a minimum. Otherwise the kitchen was well equipped. 2) The bath in the bathroom attached to a bedroom was very slippery so adding some friction tape could prevent a fall.

The location was very good and the view of the river was spectacular! We had an issue with the shower drain and it was addressed and resolved quickly.

The apartment had a funny smell. The outside noise was a little loud - the windows didn't seem to shut out the noise very well but it didn't bother us too much. The windows by the street were really dirty but I think that was due to the many recent storms that occurred before we arrived. The couch probably needs to be steam cleaned...it had a lot of stains. We were not there too much, just to sleep so it wasn't a big deal for us. Some of the decorations were a bit odd (Mannequin) and not needed - less is more sometimes.

Very spacious flat. Perfect view from the living room directly towards the Douro river during sunset. This view is actually better than that from the top of the bridge. Location is great also. The hosts are very friendly and helped us with an early check-in as early as about 2pm with no extra fee. We also had the luxury of storing our luggage at their office after checking-out.

Nothing critical. Lighting in the living room could be better. There are currently only three lights and most areas are not covered. Cookingware could also improve a little by replacing the frying pan - it is not recommended to use broken non-stick frying pan.

There was nothing to cook with in the kitchen, no salt, pepper, olive oil, etc.

Huge apartment. Great location. Amazing view of the Douro.

l’appartement est très lumineux et spacieux. beaucoup de rangements et la literie est excellente. l’emplacement est idéal , proche du centre historique et dans un endroit agréable et silencieux.

la cuisine est très mal équipée. pas de passoire , pas de plats pour mettre dans le four, pas de presse agrumes (on est qd même dans le pays des oranges !)

El departamento es espectacular, el nuestro era un duplex muy grande, la cocina y comedor dan a las ventanas de la calle por donde se entra, y el salón con la vista al río por el otro lado. En la cocina había casi de todo, nosotros cocinamos un par de veces y no tuvimos problema (falta algún sarten). Las habitaciones son medianas, cómodas, la cama doble es un poco pequeña, en la otra habitación había dos camas individuales que estaban muy bien. Sólo hemos notado una cosas que se pueden mejorar, no hay calefacción central... hay 3 aparatos del aire acondicionado y estan en el salón y en cada una de las habitaciones, nosotros fuimos en navidad y hacía mucho frío, y era un poco incómodo que en las habitaciones se estaba bien, pero el baño o la cocina estaban frías. También decía que tenía parking y no es así. Al lado está el parking del Palacio de justicia pero es caro (32€ por día), nosotros buscamos más opciones y al final lo dejamos en Parque do Carregal (15€ por día por la posibilidad de sacarlo cuantas veces quieras). No vayáis al parking al lado del río, es carísimo.

Que estaba helado en las zonas donde no llega el aire acondicionado, y que dice que tiene parking y no es así.

La casa estaba muy céntrica y el apartamento muy bonito

nos tocó unos dias bastante fríos y el calor era de aire y en las habitaciones al ser espa ios cerrados, se calentaba. Pero la sala, la cocina y la mesa para comer, al estar todo el espacio abierto costaba que llegase el calor.

The apartment has a wonderful view of the Douro river, just stunning. The two bedrooms are a good size. Even the smaller second bedroom has a balcony and view of the street and neighbouring cafes. Has restaurants, cafes and mini mart 30 metres walk from apartment very handy.

You use a door code to enter apartment block, them quite a few stairs to get to apartment door, that’s fine as long as you have strength to carry your suitcases up the stairs, then you use a key box to get your door key and then use the key to enter the apartment. This is not really a negative, just the process.
