Pension Alameda

Extremely clean. Cleaner than some 5* hotels I’ve stayed in. The building is clearly old but the rooms and hotel itself are absolutely sparkling. Wonderful and kind hosts, very accommodating, and trying their best to make you feel comfortable.

Aircon’s a little weak and lights are a bit dim in the room but understandable as it’s an old building. They may not be able to change the temp as it’s central air conditioning, but the elderly hostess literally climbed on a ladder to adjust the vent for me. So they definitely try their best to care for your comfort. The aircon did keep the room cool enough for comfortable sleep, especially considering there was a heatwave at the time.

Lovely spacious room with a balcony and Teresa was so welcoming and helpful. The room was even better than the pictures.

Das Zimmer liegt sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber.

For a pension charging €175 a night I would have expected a more present reception desk. Its absence caused me problems when I lost my key to the portal and was locked out

The room was clean and serviced each day. The host was lovely.

Room was tired Air con was run by host outside of our control. Smell of cooking in corridor. Just not worth £400 for 3 days.

Super clean, comfortable and quiet. The owner was really lovely and helpful. Couldn’t beat the location.

Tricky to find the front door (it’s around the corner from 14) not a few door down
