Tanah Marah

The cottages are located near a lake with a beautiful view. The property is large with lots of space for the kids to play and do activities including bike riding kayaking and tennis on the property tennis courts.

We (a family of five) stayed at Tanah Marah for five nights in October 2025 — and oh my goodness, what an amazing place! It’s the first holiday spot we’ve visited where we were truly sad to leave. From the very beginning, communication with Linda was excellent, and both she and Rory went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their warmth, hospitality, and genuine care made our stay so memorable. The cottages were perfect — spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and the views… simply breathtaking. Tanah Marah is one of those rare places you actually look forward to returning to each day. We loved walking around the lake, creek, and bush trails, kayaking on the water, exploring the farm areas, visiting the library and gym, or just sitting back and soaking in the scenery. Linda and Rory are outstanding hosts — friendly, approachable, and always up for a chat. Their passion for this special place shines through in every detail. We can’t wait to return — our only regret is that we had to leave!

Relaxing stay with beautiful views and space to explore. Family-friendly with lots to do including feeding animals, kayaking, reading in the library and the walking trails. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and all the cooking appliances you need. Friendly and accommodating staff (Rory even took us for a tour around the property.) Felt like an escape even though it is conveniently located close to Margaret River and Cowaramup town centres. We will be back! :)

We stayed for four nights and Tanah Marah has everything you could ever need. The chalets are stocked with all the necessities as well as extra luxuries not found at regular accomodation. Tanah Marah is such a beautiful property to explore. They have sealed and unsealed bush tracks that meander through the forest along side a beautiful creek. Kayaks, tennis courts, a golf course, cows & sheep. We spent much time watching the large array of birds (ring necks, ducks, rosella, fairy wren and kookaburra) from our patio over looking the lake. It was just magical we could have stayed here forever. Thank-you for having us we can’t wait to come back.

Near to the village for supermarketing Linda and Lucy were very clear on check in check out instruction and very helpful with any questions during the stay The heating was very good in wintry weather Lake view every morning was fantastic

One of the best places I have ever stayed in. Beautiful area of land with sheep roaming and birds flying. Just lovely to spend the mornings and evenings gazing out from the chalets and enjoying the view. Staff was great, Rory gave us a really nice buggy ride to explore the property on our last day which passed through a gorgeous forest
