Tanah Marah

Such an idyllic setting. Even though it’s only about 5km out of Margaret River, it feels like there’s no one else in the world (aside from your neighbours). The home itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean and so comfortable. We loved being able to roast marshmallows using the fire pit. The owner, Linda, was so communicative and helpful. We would stay at Tanah Marah again in a heartbeat.

Amazing place to stay if you want to get away from city life. Linda was so helpful before and during the stay. My son’s 13 year old and 10 year old enjoyed the stay so much. They played golf, tennis and rowed the boat; not to mention the memorable interaction with the lovely dogs. Property was clean and comfortable - would love to stay longer if we could!

Very peaceful and serene. The lake in front of the chalet makes for excellent viewing. The rooms were comfortable and complete. The animals (dogs, cows, birds) adds color to the stay. Perhaps can continue to innovate with animals (having kangaroos / sheeps closer to the compound).

It’s a lovely place.

We had the most wonderful stay at Tanah Marah — it truly felt like a hidden gem nestled right in the heart of nature. The property is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by greenery, peaceful walking trails, and open space that made for the perfect relaxing escape. Our hosts were fantastic — so welcoming and friendly! They took the time to show us around the property and made sure we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. A special mention to their lovely dogs, Annie and Panda, who were the sweetest companions. They happily tagged along with us on our walks around the property, making the experience even more memorable. There was so much to do — from wandering the beautiful grounds to enjoying the peaceful lakeside spots. But the absolute highlight for us was feeding the cows and sheep — such a simple joy but one that made our trip extra special. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to visit again soon. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway!
