Holiday Inn Express Tuscola by IHG

This hotel has a brand spanking new, fully renovated lobby/front kitchen area. The breakfast service was closed for just a short time during my multiple stays, but opened up! Breakfast crew made something called BREAKFASTNUGGETS. Bruh, these nugs, I have yet to encounter some nugs like these. I controlled myself and held back, hopefully I see this mega-special treat again in my future travels. What is this pancake robot? I'm not sold, I haven't tried it, it doesn't seem appetizing at all--yet my mind is blown.

Property under construction. Will look real nice when completed. Dissapointed that during the remodel they removed the hot tub!

As soon as we walked in we could see they were remodeling. They had tables set up for them to use to check people in. One of the main reasons we picked this hotel was for the hot breakfast. With the remodeling going on they were not serving hot breakfast. We could have stayed at another hotel for cheaper with the same grab and go breakfast. What a disappointment.

Easy check in and friendly desk staff.

Finishing rebuild. Desk clerk very friendly and helpful. Too bad that the mall next door is empty Very quiet.

We stayed here for UIUC graduation. Reasonable rates compared to campus and only about 35 minutes away. The hotel is currently under construction (May 2024) but that did not impact our stay at all. Our room was brand new, pool and workout room were open, breakfast was being served but on a "grab n go" system. Thank you to hotel employee Julie for her helpful and friendly customer service.

I booked a room at the Tuscola Holiday inn in early March for April 7th, received a confirmation April 4th and then found that they canceled our rez 4:45pm April 6th because they"overbooked" - I'm thinking they were offered more money so we got the boot. This was the week of the eclipse. After 1.5 hours on the phone with customer service we were told that if we could find another place to stay we world be reimbursed. We told customer service that we found one for$504, were given the case number and how to submit the request only to be told that the max they would give us was 20k points- enough for one night, maybe. That might give us a room for the night but what if they "overbook" again? WTF, Holiday Inn.

This property is under renovation. The lobby & 1st floor are a dusty dirty mess. The room was new and updated, sparkling clean. There were only 2 small tables for breakfast, sticky, not clean. Only good thing serves were the cinnamon rolls.

Breakfast is not good. Bread was moldy. We’re not ok this time stay
