Tout était parfait

The hotel was remarkable from the amazing room to the helpful and professional staff. The food was amazing at both breakfast and dinner and they upgraded our room and delivered a chocolate cake on my birthday. As it was away from the main city of Hue it was more peaceful but a £3 taxi got you into the centre. It was walking distance to the perfume river, the pagoda and the citadel. I would definately recommend this hotel

The only very minor complaint was that the pool was too hot but that could be because we were there during a heat wave high 30’s

Lovely hotel with some great food. Out of the main part of Hue, we were recommended this hotel and very pleased we stayed here. There is a very popular Vietnamese restaurant in the main building which we ate in the first night. The second night we ate in a separate very quiet french restaurant. Nothing wrong with the food it was just a little subdued. The rooms were comfortable with French style shutters. The bathroom was well appointed. You’re offered a complimentary foot massage at the spa. The therapists were very professional. Breakfast was served to your table in the Vietnamese restaurant and was fine. We used the pool which was a little chilly but would have been welcome on a hotter day. Sunbeds and towels provided.

Ancient Hue Gardens is an absolute gem. The interiors are stunning—beautifully designed with a calm, refined atmosphere that instantly makes you feel relaxed and transported. Every detail feels thoughtful and elegant. The service was impeccable throughout—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. The food was equally impressive, full of flavour and clearly crafted with care. And the spa is truly a highlight—serene, luxurious, and the perfect place to unwind. Overall, an exceptional experience from start to finish. Highly recommend.

The room was amazing and the whole complex (which wasn’t very small and intimate) was a great experience. It was so that you didn’t want to leave. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.

I had a wonderful stay at Ancient Garden House in Hue. The villa strikes a rare balance between luxury and character. It feels refined and thoughtfully designed, yet still retains a strong sense of charm and personality that reflects the heritage of Hue. The service staff were exceptional. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being intrusive. It really elevated the whole experience. The cocktails were also a highlight, beautifully made and perfect for unwinding in the evenings. Food here is priced above typical Hue standards, but the quality justifies it. Each dish was well executed and clearly prepared with care. The room was very comfortable, tastefully furnished, and felt like a proper retreat. The swimming pool area is another standout, peaceful, well maintained, and ideal for relaxing after a day out. I also tried the massage, which was excellent and worth setting time aside for. Overall, this is a place I would gladly return to. It offers a calm, elegant escape with just the right amount of local character.
