Mooreland Garden Inn

My husband and I spent an absolutely delightful three days at the Moreland Garden Inn in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The inn boasts beautifully landscaped grounds and a lovely historic home that has been meticulously maintained. From the columned ceilings and built-ins, beautiful antique furniture and art, every detail exudes elegance and comfort. The living and dining rooms are adorned with blooming plants, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. On the second floor there are three guest rooms with en-suite bathrooms and many thoughtful touches. In our room we were welcomed with a personalized greeting, a flower bouquet, WiFi instructions. a carafe of ice water, Lindt chocolates, and a menu of breakfast choices for the following morning. The room was filled with many amenities including waffle-weave bathrobes, shower caps, and a fill length mirror hiding on the back of the bathroom pocket door. Off the main kitchen, there is a self-service area with Keurig coffee makers, a fridge stocked with a variety of drinks including wine and beer, freshly baked cookies, and a snack basket—perfect for a little treat anytime. The hospitality from Bruce and Dawn, the inn’s lovely hosts, is impeccable. They are attentive without being intrusive. Each morning, Dawn treated us to a delicious breakfast. Dawn is an accomplished gourmet cook. As we left, Dawn presented me with some of her home-made granola and the recipe!

We frequently stay at B&Bs and this property outshone all the others. The bathrooms were all modern and very clean, comfy bed, great lighting in the rooms. The breakfast might have been the best part, however, and every day was delicious, filling, and pretty presentation. The inn provides lots of water and soft drink choices, as well as coffees and teas (all self-serve). Fresh-baked cookies every night, and self-serve wine, too! Dawn and Bruce are the consummate hosts and know more about American history than you learned in school! Delightful inn!

Wonderful experience overall. Dawn and Bruce are incredibly welcoming and had prepared custom breakfast, had fresh baked cookies at night, gorgeous flowers surrounding the porch and superbly decorated and elegant rooms.

My husband and I had the most wonderful time staying at the Mooreland Garden Inn for our 10th anniversary. The home is meticulously kept, and the gardens are lovely. Breakfast was amazing! Dawn and Bruce are wonderful hosts, and we will definitely return. I would love to see the gardens in mid-summer! The town of Carlisle also has many things to explore.

We had a fantastic stay at the Mooreland Garden Inn. Dawn was so kind and wonderful and lovely. She truly found her calling as an innkeeper! The rooms are impeccably clean and well-appointed, from the comfortable beds over to the luxurious shower, to the smallest details (USB-C chargers, bathroom nightlight, and beyond). There’s complimentary snacks, drinks, coffee, even wine. The nighttime cookies were delicious! The breakfast was also a hit: made fresh based on our selections the night before. We especially love the asparagus quiche and orange French toast!

This lovely B&B in a historic home couldn't have nicer innkeepers and better service. Beautifully restored and warm and welcoming, innkeepers Dawn and Bruce make you feel like you are at home. Breakfast is varied and delicious with so many home baked treats that you will want a second stomach. Pair these delectables with the perfect tea from the Tea treasure chest. I've never seen so many different teas! Dawn was super kind to me personally, I'm from the south and it was snowing - she helped me with the car and cleared the sidewalk just before I needed to leave. That's going above and beyond. Thanks Dawn!

The breakfast is phenomenal, the hospitality is so warm and unmatched. The room (I stayed in Jamie's room) is comfortable, well-appointed and spacious. It is the best place to stay in Carlisle, hands down. The fireplace in the living room is a beautiful extra touch. Dawn has thought of everything and I'm grateful to her for welcoming me into this incredible B&B.

I stayed at the Mooreland Garden Inn for one night at the Holiday; It was wonderful; very very clean; modern shower and a good shower head; terrific bfast - choice of several different items (Granola great); and really friendly, helpful hosts in Dawn and Bruce. I'll stay there again!!!

This was a terrific location and comfortable setting in the middle of Carlisle. Chef Dawn and Bruce created a custom made breakfast in addition to their specialty items such as chocolate chip /pecan cookies right out of the oven. I highly recommend this B&B.
