Marina Inn

I was responsible for a small delegation from France who were housed last-minute at this Marina District hotel and when I read some of the recent reviews, I got nervous. I didn't expect anything fancy. It is a two-star hotel and it is what it is. But I called the manager, Daniel, to discuss my concerns before the arrival of the three delegates and he was helpful and sympathetic and made sure their one-night stay went well. They had no complaints and enjoyed their stay. The rooms and beds were clean. It was quiet, and the hotel was well located, just off busy Lombard Street. Overall, I would think it would be much nicer for tourists and others to stay in this location rather than downtown SF. I appreciate Daniel's responsiveness. This is a budget hotel, so if you come with the appropriate expectations, the Marina Inn could be a great place to stay in SF!

The property was dirty, the staff inattentive, elevator did not work, no service to the 5 days I was there, ice machine broken, internet slow/unusable, and, RODENTS IN THE ROOM-THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!

We realized when booking the property, that it was an older building, so we understood it wouldn't be fancy, and that was fine. We had a clean comfortable room and the staff were very kind and helpful. It was a very safe and convenient location. I would recommend!

Great stay. Very economical but classy to a degree. Love the restaurant next door.

NO Parking. You have to park on the street we’re there is rampant homeless. The room had mold. I turned the sheets back and the Matt was strained and smelled like body order and urine. We left. Horrifying

The windows don’t close nor lock, and it’s freezing. The plug-in bathroom heater that was provided (to make up for the broken floor heater) doesn’t work and throws smoke when activated. Piss-poor effort, Marina Inn.

Room smells bad! No AC, therefore you have to open the windows to let the smell out! You cannot sleep because of the car noises! Bed is OLD! Sheets has stain! Elevator not working! No continental breakfast! Overall, IT IS TERRIBLE! STAY AWAY AT THIS OLD HOTEL!

We got out and checked into another hotel as fast as we could. This place was really bad.

Awful!! The room had no central heat or air, there was hair in the bed and shower, the pillows were YELLOW, and there was grime on th shower walls. Clearly hasn’t been cleaned. Slept on our clothes on top of the sheets. The man at the front desk was nice but whoever is running the hotel should be shut down. The pictures are NOT accurate.

Excellent stay with comfortable bed, clean room, and kind staff! We had to change hotels last minute because the previous one didn't want to hold our bags for our early flight in and late flight out. Marina Inn had amazing, kind staff who held our bags before and after our stay. The room was lovely and clean (although it does look different than the features pictures). The street and area had zero homeless and was quiet. Marina Inn was also near many bus stops. Very happy and would stay here again!
