Ignore old reviews. We are world Travellers. This is a good place. And it is economical. Good service, good breakfast. Good bed ans sheets. Nothing to complain. Yes it's on the top floor so if you can't walk up 50 steps then this hidden gem is not for you.

Although the place looked OK the street noise and the very loud guy in the office made for a very noisy night. The street noise was bad all night, but what made it worse was the guy from the front office talking very loudly untill late at night as he was walking around the courtyard, obviously with no respect for the guests. The room was just ok a shortage of outlets and no heating or cooling made for an uncomfortable night. Bathroom was very small but did the job so no complaints there. Thecroom had a weird smell , musty like there was damp somewhere, not pleasant. Coffee machine in the room and toiletries was a nice touch. Not a great place to stay, there are better choices locally for the same price point.

I booked this hotel two weeks before I travelled as I had a long stopover and asked immediately if I could hang around after check out as my flight was not until 10pm and I was travelling alone. This was the most important thing for me about the booking. I needed the security of somewhere safe to sit, to have my bag in storage. They read the message but didn't reply so I assumed all ok. On the morning of travel they told me I'd have to pay an extra night to stay around. I called to reason with them. Then they refused to cancel my booking as I was not within the 24 hour cancellation window. Of course I was: because they made that happen. I had to stay elsewhere to stay safe in the end. I emailed the GM to ask for a refund and rationale before I left these reviews. Nothing. This hotel clearly lures you in then uses manipulative ways to take your money. A hotel shouldn't deliberately and cynically endanger women travelling alone.

This place was horrible. There were nail exposed in the floors, not carpeting, trash laying on the floor. There were burn holes in the very dirty sheets. We left and did not even sleep there.

Very dirty and nasty, everything was gross and the bed itched. Was o lot able to stay one night and I booked another hotel room because it was a ridicules atmosphere. That hotel should be closed because it’s very poorly maintained.

Marina Inn used to be our favorite hotel in San Francisco years ago. It’s close to Union St and Chestnut street where we would wander in little shops and restaurants. We made reservations for this trip without checking reviews. Boy, what a shock!!! The hotel is completely destroyed. Stairs are bare wood, no elevator (doesn’t work). Our room was said to be in remodeling process. It was in a pitiful state of disrepair. We left in a hurry and now mourn the loss of our little home in San Francisco.

Friendly employees. Great location and price. Don’t expect any fancy furniture, but it has everything you need.

The bedding and sheets were clean bedsides a few spots on the comforter. The room had an old San Francisco feel which we really enjoyed, with the old wallpaper, hard wood floors, and old paintings. Everything else was

I booked on Expedia. When I showed up no one was working there. I rang the bell many times and waited almost ten minutes but no one came. It was 6PM on a Friday - hardly a weird hour. I had to go to a different hotel.
