The beer in the bar was very nice indeed! Breakfast wasn't available, but I was offered breakfast at a nearby Golf Club. I bought something at a supermarket close by instead.

The checking-in process. When I arrived, I discovered that I'd been sent a very ling text as I was travelling (driving) asking for confirmation of my arrival time. I'd already advised 'between 3 and 5' when I was completing the online booking: I arrived at 4. It would have been good to have received that text the previous day! The staff at the hotel didn't have my details, but asked me to make a phone call. The person I spoke to told me Room 2, so I went to Room 2 and surprised a couple who were already there! I called back and went to Room 3! En suite, but with some mould both inside and outside the tiny shower cubicle.

It's our second time at Capt Howey. Dino the hotel manager is always super accommodating with our last minute request and when able he even tries yo give us a free upgrade.
