Captain Howey Hotel

We loved the rooms they were very comfortable. We had a kettle, coffee, tea making. Good working TV.

Breakfast is separate from the accommodation booking as is dinner. Although the catering facilities are run independently the staff there were very helpful. The room I had was comfortable an/d provision of parking was helpful.

Was een oude accommodatie, maar daar was de prijs ook naar. Geen ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel.

A clean but compact bedroom with an ensuite bathroom in the attic. We were on a cycle tour and the manager showed us where we could leave our cycles safely. The hotel sits above a pub and can be accessed through the pub. There is no longer a restaurant there, although there are plenty of nearby restaurants and a local Co-op.

It wasn't clear that the way we picked up the keys was to go up to the room via the fire escape and the keys were in the door. Slightly odd, but the manager's phone number was plastered all over the building and it was easy to get hold of him to sort things out. Minor complaint - The bed feet stuck out which in a normal sized bedroom isn't usually a problem, but in this very compact room caused a few stubbed feet.

I just needed somewhere for the night. Everything worked. I could park. Slept well
