Royalton Saint Lucia, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

Location of the resort is very nice and the lobby area looks amazing. It is a big resort and good varieties of restaurants but very difficult to make dinner reservations as they are always full. Service provided by Mr Barrington( Front desk manager) is exemplary.

Some of the reception staff are rude and have a very bad attitude. We have been overcharged at the time of our check in and though they accepted mistake on their part at the time of check out, I have to send them multiple emails for them to process the refund. They didn't reply to emails until I got Booking.com and Marriott involved. Very poor customer service and not even a simple apology. Requested for a payment receipt and still not received it yet! The resort is very nice but our allocated 'Luxury Suite' had a very strong mold smell and dirty with cockroaches. Our suite was not cleaned regularly and our towels not replaced in spite of requesting to the reception on multiple occasions. We then raised this with the front desk manager (Mr Barrington) who was very helpful and rectified the issues. He is the only staff in the resort who actually cares.

Ankunft war ganz schlecht organisiert. Rezeptiospersonal unfreundlich. Zimmer ist nicht rechtzeitig gemacht, erst um 18 uhr.

The beach side and the infinity pool

I arrived at 3:30pm (check in starts at 3pm) but did not get a room until 6:30pm. I was told that the “cleaning team is behind”. Well it was also raining and, since I have a 2 year-old, it was a long and inconvenient waiting time for us. Staff was not friendly and warm. They were quite mean and cold. First night at the dinner it took them 10 minutes to get us a high chair (eventually my wife had to go and look for one herself). I booked a room with a king size bed and they gave me a a room with 2 queens. I requested a crib and wasn’t there, had to call multiple times to finally get one. Oh lastly, they apparently have no manager on site, and when someone called us the next day and promised a welcome gift for all the inconveniences, it never arrived.
