Clarion Inn Garden City

Horrible. Loud. Front desk didnt care there were noise complaints.

Nice and clean, great staff

Good room.

The receptionist that did not check me in stopped me when I was walking my dogs. She made sure I stopped and got my room number and asked if I filled out the pet form. I did. That wasn't hospitable. It was discriminatory and a waste of time. I won't return.

Breakfast

Rude customer service they don't want to do anything about people being loud or running up and down the hallway. Build is so old you can hear the wind blow through your windows

The room was clean however it could use some updating. You can tell there hasn't been any remodeling done to the rooms in awhile and it's showing. The mattress was fair but not one of the more expensive ones that give more support and comfort. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was top-notched.

Room was hot. We were told the A/C wouldn’t cool the room because the outside air temp was too low for the roof minutes chiller to kick on so we were told to turn the thermostat off. So the room was hot all night. The toilet never really flushed very well. Thought the toilet was going to overflow. Good thing I didn’t need to poop. The bed was very soft and uncomfortable. My lower back hurt the next day after sleeping on the bed. The door knob/level only opened the door after about 10 tries. It wasn’t an issue with the card reader. We made it work, but just never knew how many tries it would take to get the door to open. Breakfast was very good, so they have that going for them.

My wife and I stayed at the Clarion for three nights, January 29-31, ($629) and our room NEVER got colder than 75 degrees! We complained at the front desk and Vera told us because we had a “pool room,” those rooms generally are hotter than the others. We later learned 14 other rooms were experiencing the same HVAC issues and their rooms were also extremely hot. I will NEVER stay at the Clarion again and I recommend you find elsewhere to stay while you’re in Garden City.
