The price was decent.

The carpets on the main floor were noticeably dirty. There were either running up and down the halls upstairs all throughout the night or it was someone directly above us walking extremely heavy. Not a peaceful experience. It was also difficult to get to, not well lit at the entrance.

I had to stay here multiple times because my mom was in the hospital. It is convenient and a nice hotel.

Everything else. I mean everything else. This was honestly the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in over ten years and I travel 3-4 times a month. We were running late getting on the road and hit traffic so we arrived about 1am. I called ahead to let them know because I know they run night audits and I didn’t want to mess that up. They were pleasant on the phone and at check in. When we got up to our room, I noticed dirty dishes in the sink but everything else appeared cleaned. I checked the bedding and towels and asked the front desk if it was cleaned and they said yes at this time housekeeping marked it and then she apologized and said she would make sure they got it the next day. When we got up in the morning, I also noticed trash in the trash can under the sink, lack of coffee in the coffee machine area, no dish soap, food left in the fridge and woke up to stepping on a wrapper to a microwave dinner that was just under the edge of the bed. Ick. We were so tired the night before I didn’t check these things. I told the front desk again that morning (Saturday Morning) and they said they would make sure housekeeping went up and fixed those things. When returning that afternoon our bed was made and fresh towels present, but none of the concerns with dishes or trash in the kitchen area were addressed and the coffee station was not restocked. I said something to the front desk again and they said they would send the manager of housekeeping up to check it out and I did tell them no because my daughter needed a nap. They promised to address again the next morning. No such luck, nothing was addressed, no visits to room, which I understand the every other day thing, but we had concerns that they still hadn’t fixed. The lady at the front desk was like “how can I help” cause by this point we were checking out the next day and I’m like I don’t even know at this point so she gave me some snacks from the little food area, but that didn’t remedy anything.

The trip exceeded the expectations of myself and partner; Charleston is such a beautiful city where the historical aspects of the city were taken in full through a visit to the museum, as well as the market district.

No instances are to be reported on the trip where either of us were dissatisfied.

Really nice place from the front when you walk in. Friendly staff. I had let them know our ac unit was leaking all over the floor 3 times and no one seemed to care too much. Maintenance never came. We were at the first door first floor when you walk in and cleaning staff had very loud conversations. We never once got our door knocked on for cleaning but had someone walk in randomly at 12 PM without knocking. Door latch was non existing and shampoo bottles were unglued from the wall sitting on the floor. No sheets for couch bed or blankets. Just not at all what we expected. The entire grounds in the back side was FULL of trash everywhere. Breakfast ended what seemed to be 9 am instead of 10…WiFi was awful. Dishwasher has mold in it. I hate to be this picky but it was one thing after another. 2/3 stars out of 5. Pros-beds were comfy. Fridge worked well.

There was a big bag of trash in the hall right in front of the elevator hall exit. There were no towels in our room or shampoo. The room numbers went out of order so 428 was across from 451.
