Reef Resort Villas Port Douglas

Pool area was good when open. Closed earlier than advertised.

The apartment was very tired and worn. Cupboard doors and surfaces delaminated downstairs toilet didn’t always flush. Litter / household general wast from next door blowing across the patio. Cleaning not up to standard. Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned on arrival. A parcel had been left in the toilet for us to discover on arrival. Not a great start. Difficult to report as reception closed at 4pm and we were out passed that time. We were also out before reception opened at 8:30am. Limited Wi-Fi with an an extra payment request.

the location was great

The word "resort" needs to be removed as does the listing for a bar and a restaurant and the word "deluxe" from the room listings. Our villa (#82) needs a complete refit - especially the downstairs bathroom which is moldy. The furniture is too uncomfortable to sit on, and is so old - espcially the outdoor furtniture. The "bar" is open only for short periods each day and was little more than access to a drinks fridge - $5 cokes!, and the "restaurant" is a frozen pizza for only two hours per day. Certainly not a place to hang out and relax. Incredibly expensive and restrictive wifi. Office hardly open either. Not what the pictures show it as. these are individually owned villas so the standards vary greatly.

The pool is great for all ages, particularly younger kids.

The beds and pillows are ridiculously uncomfortable.

The pool is amazing as well as pool side service. Staff were very friendly.

The property was well kept, gorgeous, lots of amenities, epic customer service!

The property itself I had no complaints - It was 3.5km from town which can be a good and bad thing.

A great family holiday spot. Pool area is amazing, it’s a decent size and heated! Area around the pool is clean and plenty of places to relax poolside. Staff here are lovely and helpful. Our villa was very comfortable, all the basics you need to have some home cooked meals. Our bedding was comfortable and bathrooms were clean. The gardens around the Villa could be maintained a little better but that’s about it. I’d suggest having a rental car as walking into town is a bit far. There is a beach less than 1km walk but would suggest the beach area near the main strip- the lifeguard patrols that area. We will definitely come back here again.

Just a bit dated but a nice easy stay. Luckily early risers or the geese outside our apartment could’ve been pretty annoying wake up call!
