No breakfast but hot coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Needs some maintenance. Musty smell from high heat and air conditioning. Fueling stations and eatery close. Close to Interstate.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again. The hotel was close to downtown Newton.

The parking area had several broken down cars parked there. They made the hotel look bad. There weren't enough places to plug in are phone chargers.

It was convenient but a lot of things were broken or in poor condition.

DON'T STAY at Coratel Inn & Suites by Jasper Newton IF YOU ARE A PET OWNER OR HAVE AN OUNCE OF CLASS. Pet owners are relegated to a handful of rooms at the end of one hall, sandwiched between two sets of doors that are in CONSTANT USE. The MILDEW/BASEMENT STENCH made us nauseated, caused headaches, and inhibited sleep. If your dog has allergies, he or she may sneeze and cough throughout the stay—ours did. We had to try three rooms before realizing, It doesn’t get better than this. And the manger-on-duty, after sniffing, said, "I don’t know; it must be me. I don't smell anything." This same manager told us that the owners, “REMOVED CARPETS and BED FRAMES" in rooms in which "pet owners are allowed to stay in because we had constant issues with flees.” He added, “We ripped out the carpets, pulled out the under-cabinets, and put in flimsier bed frames to control the flee issues." The PICTURES ADVERTISED on travel websites of the room options ARE THUS DECEITFUL AND INACCURATE FOR PET OWNERS. Independent of what you select and pay for, your room won't look like that if you bring a pet. These beds have an X-style spring undergirding an uncomfortable mattress; it reminded me of my laptop stand. NO BOX SPRING. Additionally, the flooring that replaced carpeting was sticky, smelled of pea, and was damp and cold. We kept our socks or shoes on at all times, didn't use the shower, and wouldn't let our dog lay on the floor. The furniture also stank of cat pea. I had to get up while sitting on the couch to eat because it caused me to gag. Relatedly, we killed two roaches in the 16-hours we struggled before checking out. There was NO PHONE in the room. The TV was in DISREPAIR--fading into darkness and back to dimness constantly. The COFFEE MAKER was FILTHY; residue had collected inside it--all unusable. With pet fees, was that worth $85? Two of the four OUTLETS (the outlets on the lamp bases on either bedside table) were OUT OF ORDER. The main upright LAMP SHADE was badly RIPPED. The CURTAINS were TORN in a half-dozen places and couldn't be latched due to missing hooks and eyes. So we used paper clips to temporarily keep them shut, while preventing those smoking outside our window throughout the afternoon and evening from looking straight into our room. On that note, the CLIENTELE in the pet-owner-relegated end of the one hall was largely SOCIALLY INCONSIDERATE during our stay. From 4pm to 11pm (when I inserted earplugs to block out the noise), there was a screaming baby, barking dogs, constant ingress and egress, loud talking from room to room (with doors left ajar). The DOORS to the rooms SLAM SHUT LOUDLY and HEAVILY EVERY SINGLE TIME--every 5-10 minutes into the late evening. I'm glad I don't have a heart condition; it was physically jarring. MANAGEMENT must be aware of the disastrous state of their ostensibly ½-STAR (by no means two-star) INN. Realistically, they must hear the loud and constant noises. They must smell the stench. They dressed the rooms with thrift store/charity castoff furniture, bedding, and flooring. They didn't have them professionally cleaned. They didn't hold off on renting rooms in disrepair until they were upgraded to two-star standards. Rather, they're renting shabby, dungeon-like rooms to pet owners and their pets. Although not nearly as important to us, it's fair to note for others that the included BREAKFAST WASN'T "light," as the manager-on-duty promised, or CONTINENTAL; it was cereal, but with NO MILK; NO JUICE; granola bars and instant oatmeal packets were all that were out. The Coratel Inn & Suites by Jasper Newton’s management and ownership should be held accountable for the poor establishment they're running, especially towards guests who own pets; and relatedly, the misleading ancillary advertisements and bait-and-switch tactics they proffer. Never Again For Our Family!

The staff was friendly. The room was very clean. No extra blankets in the room. Towels were low quality.

Front desk agent was very good.

No floor towel for shower. Could not open the shampoo packaging-makes it useless. Wi-fi was non-functional the morning of departure.
