"Pool in May!"

Lokal was perfect for our spring stay. Having the heated pool open was like heaven. A few things in the kitchen, like the confusing smart convection oven, only two kitchen towels and no bread knife, felt like style over substance, but we didn’t plan to cook much anyway.

"Really wonderful and special."

This is an amazing small boutique hotel. Everything was so well thought out and perfect. We thought we would spend the time with our young daughters at the beach but the heated outdoor pool was such a hit with them, even when it was very cold and windy chin up, that we spent most hours of the day in there. I didn’t realise how much the hotel had thought out, it has the mix of luxury and practicality, eg it has a washer/dryer on each floor with detergent you can use. We didn’t, but knowing that we would have packed less! Highly recommended hotel, for location, amenities and style. The grown-ups enjoyed the cocktail making amenities :). There were so many other touches such as beach chairs, ice maker etc... and just a beautiful space.

"Weekend getaway "

The location was great. Enjoyed the check in. Appreciated the added touches. The place was spacious for a couple. Wish the bathroom had a door for more privacy. The curtin felt a bit cheap.

"Incredible Winter Getaway"

My parents are a little older and we are very careful about social distancing. Lokal in Cape May provided us with the perfect escape for my dad's 68th birthday. Management was very attentive and even accommodated a last minute date change due to the severe recent storm. Space was clean and relaxing and looks even better in person than it does in photos. Will definitely be returning and hopefully can check out their other properties as well. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a little getaway.
