Great upscale boutique hotel. All of the necessary amenities!

Lokal offers a stay that feels young, hip, and still it fits harmoniously with Cape May’s cozy aesthetic and charm. The owner is a visionary who has, to put it simply, thought of everything. We truly loved our stay at Lokal that after one of many dips in the heated pool I joked— I fear writing a fabulous review because perhaps I’ll never be able to get a room again! Lokal is quite small with just a handful of rooms. Each studio/space is perfectly styled and equipped with all the necessities, and from the terra cotta coffee mugs to the sexy wood kitchen knives, everything you touch, see, and use simply makes you feel good. That’s what a vacation is all about. I love Cape May and I would never bother looking elsewhere for my next stay. Lokal was perfect. And I didn’t even mention the fire pit yet...well, it’s there too as well as plenty more that will surprise you. ✌

Amazing hotel, location and amenities! We had a wonderful trip. Beautiful, loved the pool, the June oven, the beach amenities (Yeti cooler, beach tags, chaises and umbrellas). Everything was great - only very minor feedback is that next time I’d request extra towels. Two of us stayed for 2 nights and were given only 3 towels. With time on the beach both days in the summer heat, it would have been nice to have two towels each...or even a towel for our bodies and another for our hair. Again, minor gripe given how wonderful everything else was...I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We really liked the relaxed "vibe" here. The location and room comfort were excellent. We really utilized the kitchen and coffee amenities which saved us, since we stayed during a big storm that affected electrical power to the local restaurants. Also with COVID, we were grateful to be able to prepare food and stay safe in our room.

Loved everything about this hotel! The decor, the unexpected nice touches and the overall vibe. We walked everywhere in town and loved unwinding at the Lokal after. We'll definitely be back!

Everything about this hotel is absolutely amazing. The owners thought of everything you could possibly need for a wonderful stay at the beach, right down to the yeti cooler provided for your use. I highly recommend this property!

The non-front desk experience was great! It gave a wonderful sense of independence and made it feel less like a hotel and more private in nature. We did require some assistance and a simple text was all that was needed. The bedding was comfortable and cozy. We will be back.

We were looking for a comfortable spot close to the beach for an overnight. We were celebrating a 50th birthday. This was above and beyond. Across the street from the beach, luxury apartment style with ‘invisible’ concierge service. I spoke with Courtney about something else and told her the reason for our visit. On arrival, not only was there fresh creamer and milk in the refrigerator like I requested, so was a lovely bottle of Prosecco to celebrate as a surprise from Courtney. We had a wonderful time and wished we could have stayed longer!

Absolutely amazing stay. They have thought of everything you might want during your stay, the decor and amenities are pristine. Cannot recommend enough!
