Palihotel San Francisco

The location was ideal and the accommodations were very good.

The shower could use some rails for people to hold on to while drying off and for safety. The room was hot and opening windows was difficult.

Building is old, elevator is old the window in our room is broken.

Our room faced straight onto a back alley, so it was very dark and extremely loud. There was noise from what sounded like a trash truck dumping out bags of glass bottles over and over in the middle of the night and early in the morning. There were also people shouting in the alley at all hours. We noticed the noise issue immediately after checking in and asked to change rooms, but were told there were no other rooms available. We specified at check in that we’d like house keeping during our stay, but after being out of the room all day we returned at night to find our room had not been cleaned. The toilet in our room also didn’t flush correctly and the sink didn’t drain correctly and would get close to overflowing every time it was turned on. Overall, the hotel felt dark and dingy and the service wasn’t particularly welcoming or friendly. It was bearable for two nights, but there are definitely better options.

The location was perfect. The staff is friendly.

There was a weird smell in the corridors, and the walls are so thin you can hear pretty much every conversation next door. Also, there are no USB-C ports in the rooms. I get that the building is old, but it’s 2026, they should’ve updated something as basic as that.

Great location within walking distance of many cafes, coffee shops, and tourist attractions. The bed is comfortable.

The location is a historic building and due to this, and the location near a tunnel, is VERY noisy. Ear plugs are provided but you may also need noise canceling headphones.

I had a wonderful experience the moment I entered the lobby; everyone was so professional and friendly. I love all the little details the hotel provides. It’s in a great location, close to landmarks, food and the magic of San Francisco! The room was so lovely, it reminded me of Paris; the decor and the comfort of a quality hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, diptyque product chefs kiss 😘. I want to shout out Crystal at the front desk, she was so sweet and kind. Her energy was contagious, she was so helpful and was able to help us with any of our questions. She really is the face of palihotel, she is the first person you see and her actions were of the highest quality. She helped on the way out with luggage and made the stay wonderful. My friend felt the same way, she’s looking forward to coming back with her family. Thank you Crystal, you’re a stellar and special part of the PALIHOTEL! Looking forward to my next stay!

Location was pretty good in downtown, the bar had live music and nice vibes. Easy check in

Room was exceptionally small which I guess I should’ve realised earlier, also faced into brick wall. Nowhere to put anything and barely any space for luggage or to walk around the bed. The street was a bit dodgy as some unhoused people hanging out in the car park opposite
