Residence Inn Knoxville Cedar Bluff

We arrived at 3a.m. and only got a few hours sleep but all things considered it was clean, comfortable and easy! Staff was very helpful.

We were just passing through for the night. We got the last room which was a handicapped room. Very spacious. We have stayed in other ones like this. The bathroom was larger but otherwise I feel the amount of space throughout the suite was the same in other Residence Inn’s similar to this. The girl at the front was extremely nice. The place is so clean and well stocked room. In the morning we are always very close to breakfast being over. It’s your usual oatmeal , breads , egg, sausage. There were no more egg fajitas when we got there.. yogurt , coffee and I loved the lemon packets to put In my water. They also had cookies upon arrival. We could not find an ice machine and forgot our full-size refrigerator had an icemaker inside of it. We asked the girl at the front desk in the morning where the ice machine was and she said the hotel doesn’t have any but she would get us a Ziploc bag of ice so she did that and when I asked her, she was doing another task for the hotel to keep it clean and she just stopped what she was doing to help me. She was extremely nice and willing to go out of her way which I didn’t want her to do. The hotel is in a safe area and tons of places to eat you really can walk to. Would definitely stay here again. Last time we were in the Knoxville area we stayed at Turkey Creek and I was not happy with it there so we tried to Cedar Bluff and I am so happy that we did. We are Marriott Bonvoy members and this place was just exceptional.

Way too many dogs. Almost more dogs than people.

wi fi is ridiculously slow but surprisingly fast if you're willing to upgrade for $5 / day. Wake up Mariott it's 2024. Great way to nickel and dime people for a service that's about as expected as getting a car that has tires.

Great

Everything was great. Hotel was well appointed, staff was friendly and helpful, room was a great size and comfortably furnished, bathroom and kitchen were well stocked. The included breakfast was varied, great and in a comfortable dining room with a fireplace, very cozy. There was a nice fragrance in the lobby, very inviting.

Only wish there was an electrical outlet in the shower/toilet room, for plugging in a nightlight. Wish the pet deposit had been lower.

The facilities were a bit worn down. The elevator was not working and the room had a smell

Pet Friendly

My advice is check other hotels in the area. You’ll probably find something just as nice for less money. Staff was great, breakfast was very good and overall the property was clean. However, the evening reception was eliminated in COVID and never brought back. The pool is heated, but it was closed for the season. And the temperature was in the 80s for the week we were there. Most frustrating was they only clean the rooms every 4 days! And they don’t tell you at check in. So imagine 2 adults with 3 towels for 4 days. They will give you clean towels if you ask. But there are only 2 tiny waste baskets in the suite. We didn’t cook or bring back meals but if we had there would be food trash sitting for days. I can’t believe that’s very healthy. Also bring lotion-there’s none in the room. Even Super 8 provides that. Location is good and there’s lots of nice restaurants in the area.
