The Woodlands Inn

We stayed here for a quick overnight on our way up to Niagara Falls. While this hotel is a bit dated and could probably use an upgrade, the stay was pleasant. I have to say that a friendly staff goes a very long way and I don’t think you could find a much nicer staff. From check-in, to the bar at night, to breakfast in the morning, to check out, everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The room itself was nice enough. Just a little old and rundown. Shower was good and had plenty of water pressure. Plenty of choices at the breakfast buffet. There are a couple of bars that stay open late at night that are part of the hotel. You don’t have to even walk outside to get to them. Overall I’d recommend the hotel.

The room was definitely not worth the price we paid. The ac unit was so loud we couldn’t watch TV in the room. Shower-head was less than average…despite the write up saying “rain style shower” NO COFFEE in the room or reception all weekend. Only available in the Crecenzos restaurant in the morning…which was also on the other side of the property. The website (their own website) says 2 complimentary bottles of water, but there was none and when we asked the kid at the desk says “ we don’t do that anymore”. Outdoor pool is definitely NOT heated. If there’s a wedding, apparently you can’t go to the on the rocks bar. Wi-Fi was out for a long period of time the first day and several hours the second day. Asked a manager to call us (twice) and still haven’t heard from anyone.

We stayed in a room where the toilet paper holder fell off the wall only to be followed with the shower handle falling off. We asked for a different room at 10am when only half the rooms were occupied. If they switched our room and fixed the issues prior to people coming there would not be a problem for new guests. The manager refused. The bed was so sunken in that you rolled to the center. We were placed in a room near one of the bars and the music kept us awake until after 2am. We went to the casino and called for the courtesy shuttle. We called three times during a 45 minute wait and was told each time it was on its way. We Ubered back and found that the shuttle never left. There was no band on Friday except for a private party. This is not the Woodlands of years ago. It has gone straight downhill.

DO NOT GO HERE VERY SCARY PLACE-NO MANAGERS OR SECURITY ON DUTY THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING!!!!!! On Sunday August 24, 2025, at breakfast I was verbally assaulted and threaten with bodily harm by another guest. I was being called a pedophile over, and over again at breakfast for wearing a shirt of our President. This guest threatened me with bodily harm. I left my breakfast and along with my husband went to see the manager about checking out, NO MANAGER ON DUTY NO SECURITY. I was crying and shaking and the Man behind the desk told me to CALM DOWN!! are you kidding me. We waited 1/2 no manager, we gathered our things and about a 1/2 hour later, still no manager, no apology NOTHING. I advised the man behind the desk I wanted a full refund, he assured me that would be taken care of, as of today, no refund, no call from management. I contacted the bank and filed a dispute. IF THAT IS NOT BAD ENOUGHT when we checked in we went to the bar for a drinks, the women behind the bar was 70ished, she overwhelmed and could not handle the 8 people at the bar. As I was speaking to my husband she chimed in that she "was doing the best she can" I said ok, I was just talking to me husband. This bar had NO A/C, NO COOK, NO MUSIC. EVERYTHING WAS DOWN AND THE COOK CALLED OUT. WENT TO THE OUTSIDE BAR, NO BARTENDER, BUT $1000.00 OF DOLLARS WORHT OF ALCHOL LEFT OUT AND UN-ATTENED. THE PLACE IS OLD, RUN DOWN AND SEEDY AS HELL! THE PICTURES LOOK NOTHING LIKE THIS PLACE. I HAD TO GIVE 1 STAR BUT ITS NOT

This property was everything it claimed to be , the staff was all amazing and super nice. This is our 2nd time going there amd we will be returning whenever we can again
