This is a very nice smaller Courtyard on the Mississippi. We chose this hotel for an overnight to visit a clinic because of the reviews and we love Marriott. The hotel itself did not disappoint. It was quiet IN the hotel and very clean and comfortable. The pool area is lovely with great views of the Mississippi. The 4 stars verses 5 is due to a few things. First is the smell at that end of the river walk from the brewery is quite offensive. Once you are a few buildings down the walk, you no longer smell it. There was still a faint smell of it in our room. We did not have our window open. The other thing is that we went to sit outside on their beautiful patio and between the smell and the sound of the sewer treatment less that a football field length away, we decided to walk down the river walk and take in the view elsewhere. I say this every so kindly, not as a snob. My husband drinks weak coffee and I ordered a Starbucks coffee from the Bistro as the room coffee was weak. All they had was medium and it was so weak, he couldn’t even drink it. All this to say, that if we need to come to LaCrosse for another appointment we will have to weigh out whether we want a great room with a good view and put up with the smell and the noise or move farther down the river for accommodations .

The Bistro closed a bit earlier than we would've cared for. But we also understood it could be a break situation between mealtimes. It was a nice area to enjoy breakfast! We were able to stay & visit - but we were hoping to get more coffee & sit outside. And the outside area! Loved it!

I spent one night at this Marriott Courtyard located on the banks of the Mississippi River adjacent to the La Crosse Center arena. It's not built int he traditional Courtyard style. That's meant as a compliment. It has a slightly more upscale feel that other Courtyards. The have an outdoor seating area on the river, which is a nice touch. My room was quiet and comfortable. It's an easy walk to anything downtown. I would definitely stay here again.

Restaurant on site is very basic.

Wonderful. Front desk cheerful and helpful in giving dining and recreation suggestions. Impeccably clean and quiet. Proximity to walkway on the Mississippi River a real plus. Many restaurants within walking distance. Very peaceful. One of the best nights of sleep I have ever had in a hotel. The shades on the windows block out so much light...hardly knew morning had arrived. Great experience!

Great location and fantastic room.

This property is on the Mississippi River!! There’s a path along the river which takes you on a scenic view of the surroundings.
