Holiday Inn Express Corning by IHG

Didn’t have breakfast-just coffee. The location is the worst of any hotel I’ve stayed in. The hotel is directly next to northbound Interstate 5 in northern California. The noise from the constantly passing cars and motorcycles and big rigs was terrible and I got very little sleep after an exhausting day traveling. Would never stay at this hotel again due to lack of sleep.

The bed was hard and very uncomfortable for me so I tried to sleep on the small couch but that was just as bad. Between the relentless traffic noise and the uncomfortable bed, I got no sleep this miserable night. The room was large and clean so that part was fine, but none of that matters when you cannot get any sleep. The TV in the room did not work right and the few channels that did come in made no sense as the screen would say CNN but it was the Food Network. When I asked what was wrong with this system, I was told that the cable company recently reconfigured the system but they missed lots of rooms. So why didn’t they return????? Ridiculous excuse and poor hotel management to just leave visitors with no watchable TV. The desk clerk did send a maintenance person to check on the TV but he did not speak English and could not understand what I was saying. I was extremely disappointed in this hotel as I had high expectations that it would be a good place to stay. If you don’t need any sleep and don’t need a TV, this place may be right for you.

Very poor condition of the hotel. Whole had been punched in bathroom door. Large insect in room. Security doors not working.

Breakfast was great. The rooms and all other locations were very clean and everything was organized.
