2ndhomes 2BR Penthouse with Balcony and Sauna

The location was perfect. Close walk to everything and supermarket across the road.

Picking up the keys from another location. Kitchen could use more utensils. Also thought being a penthouse toilet paper would be provided for the length of stay like other apartments provide.

· I would love to be able to review the property listed, unfortunately, 2ndhomes switched our apartment at the last minute. They stated this was due to repair work (see more information below). The property that we were given was listed as "2ndhomes Luxurious 2BR Apartment with Rooftop Terrace & Sauna in Kamppi Center". In the new location, it was very centrally located, the outdoor space was lovely, and the beds were comfortable. The building was very secure and the cleaning staff (more below) was super helpful at the start of our stay.

Communication was terrible. -The property was changed to a lesser property last minute, with the only directions being to go to their office and collect the keys. The office was unmanned, and no directions were sent, even though 2ndhomes knew that we were arriving late due to a 24 hour flight delay. A wonderful cleaning member was leaving the office and tried to assist with the key box, by calling a manager. They told her we needed to follow the directions sent to us, which did not arrive until 20 minutes AFTER she had been in contact with them. This is when we learned that there is not a key, but an electronic app for entry. The cleaning lady walked us blocks over to the new location and up to the door to make sure that we were able to get in as there are 3 security doors, 2 elevators and a courtyard to navigate. -Upon arrival, there was no information on the wifi. We had to locate the router, send pictures, and even with this, they kept sending us information for a different device. It took over 24 hours to get the wifi password. -Our first property had 2 bathrooms, 2ndhomes insisted that the new property did as well, it did not. It has 2 rooms... one with a toilet and sink, one with sinks, shower and sauna... not the same thing. They also told us they would not charge us for the change as the new property was 'better' then our initial booking, but it was not. -While paying for four people, towels for only 2 were provided. It took over 24 hours to get more towels. Condition of the property was disappointing. -We had to unclog the dishwasher, wash dirty dishes, and clean goo off of the table/chairs. There was mold in the shower, cabinets in the kitchen were delaminating, frying pans were unusable due to damage and kitchen knives were dull. There was a hole punched in a door, many holes from former art work in the wall, and unknown substances on the wall in the main bedroom. It appeared as if a major party had happened at the property.

The apartment was spacious

The cleanliness, glass on the floor, onion skins also on the floor were disappointing. The midnight access to the apartment was non existent. The sauna took hours to heat up. The lack of shower screens shouts ‘beware of dry things’. Our concerns went unanswered by the host. We have waited 2 weeks for a response from booking.com to see if they would offer any explanation to the concerns we had, but nothing! My advice is DO NOT BOOK HERE IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 2100 OR WANT A CLEAN PLACE.

Lack of basic maintenance: the bathroom sink blocked, bathroom and balcony door don’t lock, light bulbs not changed …

Great location, nice outdoor terrace, The sauna was great, plenty of room for our family.

Sleeping was a bit warm at night. That is the only thing. A couple of fans would be great for the summer Months. Other than that small detail, the property was awesome!

It’s a spacious flat in the center part of city. Big kitchen.

I felt like in abandoned flat, which some time ago vas loved but now it’s braking and not cared :) Even looks like you have everything in it, everything is used or getting broken.. it was ok to stay. We booked for 4 there were 3 sleeping places ready. Had to look for left sheets and towels in the flat. The good thing that foud some so could make place to sleep for 4. There were only one kitchen knife. One soap for 2 toilet sinks. City was quit booked on the days when we were visiting so it was ok place to stay but I gues in different circumstanses you could find more cosy places to stay in Helsinki for the same money.
