Very nice little B&B at just 4 rooms. We stayed in Lynn Marie , one of the larger rooms and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were large portions for us and delicious. Very close to downtown attractions. Only about 5 or 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The hosts were informative about the area.

Fantastic stay. Anniversary weekend, great host, breakfast, and a wonderful place. Walking distance to downtown. DEFINITELY WILL STAY AGAIN!

The property is truly on a hill. When you come from flat Chicago, navigating up potholed streets on the way to the property can be daunting. But I arrived to a lovely property managed by a lovely couple and two dogs. I stayed in the Lydia room which has a comfortable king bed with a couch that can be used as a daybed. It is at the back of the house adjacent to a common room - very private. The bathroom includes a shower and had plenty of soap and towels. The common room had reading material, coffee maker, ice machine, refrigerator, microwave and water cooler. In addition, popcorn, glasses, water bottles and utensils. I felt like I was home! My boyfriend said he wasn’t leaving!! The property also has a backyard oasis with tiered seating with a gazebo. And did I mention the Candy Bar?!? Mini Hershey bars, peanut butter cups, Twix, Kit Kat bars, etc. Lastly, the property is located within walking distance of Main Street. I totally recommend this property.

Amazing facility and very gracious hosts. Room was large and very comfortable. Hosts were very accommodating. Prepared breakfast was fantastic. Location was ideal.

Bob and Cherish are phenomenal hosts, think out every detail, are quick with wit and charm, and make sure that each guest feels as welcomed or as left alone as they would like. Myself and my boyfriend love historic homes and prefer to give our dollars locally. Neither of us had ever stayed in a B&B and I was a bit nervous we would have an experience reminiscent of the Cheshire Cat in Gilmore Girls, if anyone else can relate to that reference. The Avery is an immaculate home, dutifully cleaned, well preserved, the beds and bedding are high quality, and the hosts were the gravy to the weekend. We spent much of our time away from the B&B, but the breakfast and socialization we experienced each morning made me wish I had more time to relax in the garden (which is also unbelievably gorgeous). I will be recommending this to my friends!

The hosts were very engaging and knew a lot about the area and the property. And they took great pride in their breakfasts.
