Avery On Prospect Hill Guest House

Beautiful property located just minutes from shopping & dining. Bob and Cherish were superb hosts and shared excellent suggestions on the area. Bob made a delicious breakfast each day. The price was very reasonable. We highly recommend this location and plan to return.

Amazing B&B experience! Bob and Cherish are super nice and they make a fantastic breakfast every morning that you don't want to miss. There was absolutely nothing that we would have improved as it was perfect. We're looking forward to going back again in the future. The room was very clean, it was very quiet, and the whole house had a very cozy, welcoming atmosphere.

Historic B&B very well maintained yet integrated smartly with modern amenities. Bob and his wife great. Brief historical overview then available when needed. Lovely grounds and terraced garden and porches with lower level gazebo. Breakfast prepared 4 stars. Having trouble envisioning how a B&B could be better.

Our stay was wonderful! The house is beautifully maintained. The grounds are lovely, especially when lit up at night. We stayed in Lydia. The room was spacious and tge king sized bed was very comfortable. We were able to peek into the other rooms, and they were all equally nice. Our host, Bob, was a real joy. Great conversation. Breakfast was excellent! Fantastic location! We only had to cross the street to start our walk in Galena. Very clean, very friendly, very comfortable...what else could you ask for?

The owners of this BnB were absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was amazing to say the least and the accomodations were top shelf. I highly recommend this location and plan to revisit the Avery next time in Galena.

Quite charming place, with some character, comfortable room, friendly hosts. Location right off Route 20 is convenient for downtown, river etc but would be noisy without the AC. Also noticed that there aren’t window screens, so if you like fresh air in your room, this would not be the place. (As it was in the 90s with both heat and humidity during our stay, not an issue this time!) Free candy and quality coffee always available, which was very much appreciated!

The owners are very nice and helpful. The entire house is very clean and well maintained. The room and bedroom were big and the breakfast was unique and tastey. I would definitely recommend this B&B and next time we’re in town we will definitely stay here again!
