"Great location and helpful staff"

10.0

The hotel is just 1min away from the main square Jemma el fna in Marrakech. It was a very beautiful place, nicely decorated and very clean. On the roof there is a terrace where they serve good breakfast. The guy at the reception was really helpful, he recommended the places that we must see and offer us a trip to Ouzud waterfalls with great value (worth seeing). Great hotel for that price, I'd stay here again.

The price was good. Cheap. But no heat, the room was cold. I slept with my jacket on the entire time. The showers were dirty and no toilet paper. I bought my own to carry with me. Worst mistake to book this hotel.

Thsy should tell you that you will be getting a shared bathroom if you dont book a room with this feature. Its important to have your own bathroom when your on your own. It was freezing with no heating system which was also a downside for my stay. Other than that, the service and staff were actually quite amazing

"Great Location; Reasonable Hotel"

6.0

The main two things going for this place is location and location. And a good rate. It’s literally steps down the alley to main square. I’ve seen the negative reviews re hospitality: all I can say is we booked ages in advance, and everyone was most pleasant. We got the type of room we asked for. All good. It’s clean, mostly had hot water (ran short one late morning), and relatively quiet. Rooftop terrace to have a drink if you bring your own bottle. (No view of square.) I’d stay here again.

"'Where are we supposed to go now?' 'not my problem' HORRID PEOPLE. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY/YOUR BOOKING."

2.0

We had booked Hotel Atlas as our stop after a 10 and a half hour drive back to Marrakech. When we find it, down a sketchy alley of other dingey looking budget accommodation, we wait along time to check in. The place, Hotel Atlas, is unprepared for the number of walk-ins at this time of night (now 9pm at this point). The guy finally takes us to our 'room'. He says we have been switched to a terrace room. We think we have lucked out on some sort of upgrade. But no no. At the top of 4 flights of stairs (which he did not offer to help carry our luggage up), he shows us what can only be described as a storage room. Two long couches flank either wall and at the far end is stacked up cushions from the terrace furniture. My partner sees this and says immediately 'this is not a room. 'this is the boss' room. He sometimes sleeps here' 'This isn't what we booked. We booked a private double bed' 'You have been given the big boss' room' 'there aren't even any sheets' He turns nasty at this point and turns the light off, ushering us back out of the room. I have to keep switching the light back on because I had put my bags down and couldn't see to collect them 'You don't want it. You can find something else then' 'we want what we asked for. We paid 20 euros and this is not a proper room' 'I have left my post. Come on. Let's go' At this point, I ask, 'Where are we supposed to go now?' 'not my problem' We have an unpleasant march back down all the stairs where mayhem has broken out downstairs. The 'big boss man' is hurriedly trying to sort the queue that has racked up at reception. We are still going back and forth with this horrid man who, at this point, is now kissing his teeth at us and treating us with utter disdain. The boss is brought into this dispute. He is a little more open to the idea of being given a normal room (a radical request I know) but clearly they have overbooked and, rather than just admitting this mistake, starts faffing and sorting other people, leaving us standing in the lobby frantically trying to get on the internet ourselves to find somewhere else at what is now 9.45pm. Suffice to say we had to find another hotel at 10pm at night and Hotel Atlas, a place that works under the guise of hospitality, did not care what happened to us. DO NOT FUND THESE HORRID PEOPLE.

"Awful, awful place. Worst service ever witnessed."

2.0

Possibly the worst service I have ever witnessed. We arrived at the hotel around half 8 in the evening and had to wait around 20 minutes to check in. The guy at the front desk then showed us to the “terrace room” which can only be described as a store room for the terrace furniture on the roof. There was no bed and no sheets (there were two couches). When I complained that this was not a double room, the guy became rude and said that if we didn’t like it we could go else where. When I asked where, he said it was “not his problem”. He then bizarrely began to tell us how his boss occasionally slept in the store room (the perks at the top) and that it was a good deal for us for “only one night”. He didn’t seem to care that I had an actual booking at all. Again when I asked to get the room we booked, he said we would have to pay more for a better (actual) room. It’s hard to put in to words just how horrible this creep was. I said no, and we went back down stairs to speak to his manager (presumably the boss who sometimes sleeps in the joke of a room we were shown). He was less rude but still completely useless. After seemingly agreeing to give us a room, he didn’t actually give us a key and just stood in the reception with a stupid look on his face as wave after wave of people arrived. We got tired of waiting and ended up finding another hotel (which was pretty terrible but all we could get at around 10pm in the centre of Marrakech). Awful people, awful service, awful hotel.

"Great if you just need to be close to main square"

8.0

If all you care about is being close to the main square, its perfect as its just one block from the action. Be warned the bathroom is shared, but the room was fine and for what you pay for, the place had a nice rooftop. The service is meh kind of slow and do be warned that you have to pay the hotel fee in cash.

Very poor and ridiculous. I never recommend anyone to go for Hotel Atlas. My kids were hungry for not having a breakfast though we requested last evening. It’s not only for 1 day but it goes for almost 4 days. Specially someone Abdululla, don’t understand anything in English and commit YES, which he turned next day that he didn’t said last evening, he might be in drugs. Not safe for families. Pls stay away from hotels near market square like Hotel Atlas. Pls don’t book hotel Atlas , it’s my recommendation.
