Hi, I’m reaching out regarding a very disappointing experience at your Gainesville, FL location. I had a confirmed reservation through Hotels.com and even called ahead to let the front desk know we would be arriving late. I was told that would not be an issue. However, when we called again while en route, we were informed—without explanation—that our reservation had been canceled. We received no call, no email, and no notification of any kind, despite my contact information being on file. What made this situation worse was the response from your front desk associate. Instead of offering assistance or solutions, she was dismissive and unprofessional, stating, “you won’t be staying here,” with no regard for the fact that we were on the road late at night after a full day of travel. We were forced to quickly secure another hotel last minute, which fortunately worked out—but that does not excuse the lack of communication and poor customer service we experienced. This experience has significantly impacted my perception of your brand, and I hope it is taken seriously. The young lady answering the phones on the evening of April 17 is absolutely awful. She needs significant on the job training for proper customer service. This hotel is beneath my standards anyway and after this experience it could not have been made even more clear. To management, front desk girl and corporate company. DO BETTER. I will NEVER stay here or recommend to anyone.
