Midtown Niseko

Good for our needs and bus to Hanazono and Hirafu from the front door.

Didn’t automatically provide new bottles of water.

Overall we were comfortable to stay, like cleaness, breakfast ,fast lifts etc. The location is fantastic too,

The room is small for 3 people

This hotel/ hostel hybrid was perfect for our trip to Niseko. We were picked up by Midtown from the Hirafu Welcome Centre bus stop and welcomed warmly with informative English speaking staff. The facilities are far better than I imagined and the room was still comfortable for me and my sister in a split twin configuration. The seperate toilet and bathroom/shower tub in the room (basically 1.5 bathrooms) was great for privacy and for each of us getting ready. Comfortable beds. Just the right amount of storage too. Our (possibly each) floor has a common room with cooking facilities and seating, laundry and dryers, toilets and vending machines. Very convenient. All very well maintained. Get the breakfast buffet inclusion, it has a good variety of western and local foods and beverages. Much more convenient, and cheaper, than uphill alternatives. It doubles as a bar in the evening too. The lobby has a safe and accomodating board and gear storage room too. Plus a comfortable waiting area / lounge while you wait for buses or check in. Getting a bus to Hirafu and Hanazono is super easy too. If you have an all mountain pass the Niseko Direct bus stops at Midtown NOTE: the Niseko bus stops on the main road, it doesn’t pull into Midtown 😅 Midtown is only a 15-20min brisk walk from the main street if you miss the last bus because of late night shenanigans ;)

Breakfast was fine but more variety would be great. Also, the restaurant was always closing early.

Food in restaurant was fine but not great.

Property is modern and clean. Well organized for ski clothes plenty of hangers. Bathroom is split so one can use the toilet and other can use the shower. Both have sinks in them. Very considerate that they have trays to place your wet ski/snowboard boots in, well thought out.

The ski storage room is open to anyone. I'm not from Japan but was concerned that others may steal equipment.

Good breakfast ( though more fruit needed ) . Good bus service to resorts .

Nice room, decent cupboard space and hangers on the wall heater to dry ski gear, huge drying room for skis and boots, plenty of parking space.

Could do with some extra storage as it runs out quite quickly, lots of empty wall space - a few hooks or wall mounted cupboards would be nice.
