Hotel Vista Sierra

Clean, beautiful and comfortable.

We stayed four nights at the Hotel Vista Sierra for family visit in Auburn and were so pleased with everything, from the welcoming front desk staff, excellent free hot breakfast, clean newly renovated rooms and beautiful pool and hot tub. We were not sure what to expect, given this is not a typical tourist destination hotel but we booked because it was part of the Marriott group. Check in was easy, and we were given a complimentary upgrade to mountain view room that overlooked the pool. The room was very spacious, with a nice sofa to watch the TV from, dual shower head walk in shower, very comfortable king size bed, fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The pool area was very clean and there are nice sitting areas nearby with a fire pit. The free hot breakfast was excellent, with vegan and gluten-free options and a daily rotation of hot dishes from belgian waffles, quiche, breakfast sandwiches plus scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage daily. Special thanks to the awesome bartender and breakfast server Catherine. She helped us in so many ways, from directions to nearby stores and local attractions and helping us feel welcome during our stay. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the entire hotel was very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back the next time we come for our annual family visit!

Gutes Frühstück. Nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr schöne Aussicht auf die Grünen Täler und die verschneite Sierra Nevada. Kaffee, Tee, Wasser und Äpfel jederzeit zur Verfügung.

Das Zimmer wurde oft nicht gemacht (Kaffee und Wasser nicht ersetzt, Bett nicht gemacht. Badezimmer nicht gereinigt. Nach Reklamation wurde es teilweise erledigt. Die Zimmer mit schöner Aussicht sind sehr lärmig (6-spurige Autobahn gleich unterhalb des Hotels. Wollte eine Massage buchen, nächster Termin sei aber erst in 3 Monaten frei…..

Can't relly on this property for holding up the reservation. they cancelled on me after check-in time and offered no help, just apology. I dont think its ever worth trusting a property that can cancel anytime they like

Good size room for our family of 5. Breakfast was so good! Plenty of options and sausages were delicious

Beautiful hotel. The view of the Sierra Nevada from the room, patio and pool will take your breath away. The food and drinks in the Terrace restaurant were so good! The best part was the customer service. The staff was so friendly and made our anniversary stay amazing. Shuttle driver Norm took us on a scenic tour through the Auburn wine trail and we ended up at PaZa Estate winery for some wine tasting. I’m not sure if you know that Auburn, CA is a destination…it is! Come enjoy Auburn and I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Vista Sierra!
