The Caden Hotel

Nice, quiet, friendly property. Generous check-out time. Clean and nicely decorated. Didnt like some of the uneven asphalt walkways.

Caden Hotel was clean and easy access. We road our bikes from Banks. Spent the night and rode back.

This property was very nice, clean and comfortable. the sink in the bathroom didn't drain and we couldn't change the channel from Ion. but we were able to stay comfortable and safe at this property and that was a huge plus for us. would definitely stay again.

We just wanted a last minute, weekend getaway and decided on this area. The hotel is older, but very cool. The owner/managers are super nice. You can tell they take pride in maintaining this old property. It's one block up the hill from the little town, everything is within walking distance.

Vernonia is not a lorge town. Hotel has been updated and provided a great stay. We were in the #5 room as we needed two beds. Wow was the room of great size. Huge in fact. It is an older building that has been restored. Private bath. I have never had towels that were so thick in a hotel/motel. Super nice. Better than at home. Not far from Hillsboro OR. Easy comute.

I especially liked the staff. They were friendly and worked out an Expedia charging issue. The town was fun to explore.

Veronia is a lovely little town. I thoroughly enjoyed my evenings at the local restaurants and my stay at the Caden Hotel. For $100/night in a small little town in northwestern Oregon I was not expecting much so was pleasantly surprised by many things. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and helpful when I checked in which was a great first experience. The rooms are simple and clean which is what I expected. Dish TV was great and the bed was much better than I expected. I think I heard they just purchased new high end mattresses so that was nice. I had to check out a day early since my job finished faster than expected and normally I would forfeit the money for the last night per Hotels.com policy but the Owner was nice enough to refund me out of her own pocket which was above and beyond.

we arrived in town early and stopped by the hotel at 10 AM just to ask some questions about where to eat etc. there was no one there they had left a phone number on the door so I called it no answer so I left a message did not receive a call back tried again an hour later Julie picked up and said she never received my message because she was having phone problems. We came back after 1 PM to see if our room was ready and it wasn’t quite ready so we went exploring in town and came back later in the afternoon. Julie tried to get me to sign a credit card statement to pay for the room and I told her I had already paid through Hotels.com it was very uncomfortable. We were told that the couch in our room had been broken by the tenants the night before and it had to be taken out which was fine we had two chairs and a table which was great! The room smelled like marijuana which they did try to disguise! There was no Wi-Fi and we had problems getting the TV to work and both issues were very frustrating! The bed was not comfortable! There were some minor issues also, no toilet paper holder, One little trashcan for the whole room, and the coffee maker was on top of a cabinet plugged in and very difficult to use! We would never stay here again and unfortunately this is the only hotel in Vernonia! We would not recommend this hotel.
