Very small rooms, spiders. unable to turn of TV

We were just here for one night but the room was lovely and we were quit comfortable

Well where to begin, value of room way overpriced basically a $65 room but charges $120. No wifi, no instructions for 20 year old tv control, no ice, vending machine might have been filled or changed 10 years ago, no staff available just notes on office door who to call. I’m happy for the town of Vernonia to have a hotel and we love the town, however, someone should take this place over and make it more inviting to stay.

We had a large room with two beds. The floor was uncarpeted and cold. Some small area rugs would be nice at least for wintertime. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom large. The drain wouldn’t plug so I couldn’t take a bath.

The Caden Hotel was a a great spot due to its super close location to the main strip of town. The biggest downfall was the thin walls and uncomfortable mattress which made it pretty difficult to sleep. If they provided ear plugs for the guests, that'd be wonderful! Aside from the difficulty sleeping, the room itself and location were great.

*The hotel was charming and the room was quite comfortable. However, the check-in process was terrible. We arrived at 6:45pm to find the office locked. Notes and phone numbers for the manager and owner were taped to the door, so I called and left 2 voice messages for each of them over 30 minutes. I also sent text messages to both numbers. I decided to contact Travelocity to attempt a refund so we could stay somewhere else for the night. The agent contacted the owner and then told me which room we had and that the door was unlocked with keys inside. Immediately after that I got a text from the owner with the same information. In all, it took us 45 minutes from time of arrival to getting into the room. The owner or manager could have contacted us prior to arrival with the room info.

This is a nice clean property. Rooms are updated and pleasant the portable ac is a bit off-putting and the patio boards need replaced outside. The staff is excellent and eager to please but the sleepy little town is closed on weekends and the neighborhood is definitely an eyesore but seems very safe. I would walk the side streets at night without fear. Absolutely zero handicap parking but the lower floor is accessible from the entire parking lot.

Nice Hotel and location in the City compared to standard hotels, will return and stay next time in town for business
