Baymont by Wyndham St. Joseph/Stevensville

BEWARE!! Bedbugs, filth, vagrants, poor maintenance, safety issues, and HORRIBLE staff. We booked 8 rooms here for 2 nights for a school field trip. 2 rooms had bedbugs. 1 had dirty black stained sheets. 1 had a vape left in the shower. 1 had shorts and trash left in room. 1 had feces in the tub. 3 of our doors didn’t lock. Carpet was absolutely filthy black - nobody took their shoes off. Our toilet wasn’t set and rocked and leaked onto the moldy dirty tile floor when used. Holes in the wall. Missing wall plate on electrical outlet. Bath light cover missing and bare sharp metal exposed with 1/2” of dirt caked to it. Counter caulk cracked and nasty. 2 towels allotted for double queen rooms. We complained to management and were told their best and only offer is the rooms that didn’t move could get a $10/night refund. Nothing for the people who had beds teaming with bugs, because “they got a new room at 2:30am and the problem was solved. Michelle was at least polite. Attempting to further discuss with evening employee Lance was AWFUL. He hung up on us. Hung up!! Then refused to answer the hotel phones as we called back from 5 different parent phone numbers. We had 15 livid parents and were afraid for our group’s safety. Being left with no choice but to vacate, our school had to find and pay for new suitable rooms at another hotel. Refunds for the second night or additional discounts were refused. Lance at the desk continued to be incredibly rude to all of us as keys were returned, saying it’s our fault he hung up and threatening to call the police on my husband. After we left, we stopped and talked to a local police officer who told us that place is terrible and they get frequent complaints and vagrants pick ups from there. I have never been so horrified by a hotel experience in my life.

I enjoyed ever moment! I give it a 5 star rating! The room is clean, the bed is comfy, and I always enjoy the breakfast! The price to stay is also nice!

The Baymont in Stevensville Mi.is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in ,and believe me with the way we travel,this hotel is one of the best ,staff friendly,rooms always clean,desk attended very friendly,breakfast great.I will definitely rate them a 10 ,thank you Baymont for making our stay so wonderful.

Staff was exceptionally nice. The bed was clean and comfortable. Location was good; right off a main highway.
