Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel

For the brand class, this location is above average. There are shops attached to the venue, close to downtown Kona activities, nice pool. Self parking is $35/day, there’s an activity/destination fee but in check-in you get a shell lei, metal water bottles and 2 free drinks from the bar. Note, they will not let guests use the luggage carts!

The Staff were Fantastic!!! The Location was kinda perfect, and my view was priceless

Room was very comfortable and convenient.

Front desk was always busy. We went to the prime rib and seafood buffet and it was really bad. no small forks to get the crab out of the legs, wait staff not attentive, and food kind of blaa. Very expensive for a poor experience.

Location to town

Extremely loud doors. People were exiting/entering their rooms in the middle of the night and the doors kept slamming shut. Difficult to sleep due to this noise. I was also never offered any water bottles which other people were receiving upon checkin. I was also never told about the two welcome drinks. Staff were inconsistent with poolside service. They would take some peoples orders but not others/ including myself and my family. My mom , who is disabled, had to make her way to the bar to be seated in order to order something.

I was a little concerned reading some of the earlier reviews, but our experience has been great. We got the room we booked and the view is amazing. Housekeeping has come precisely when we were told they would come and they make sure we have everything we need. The team at the pool are wonderful. They are all super friendly and attentive and we've really enjoyed them. - The food is also very good at the pool bar - not sure about the other restaurant - it's kind of high priced and we can't eat that much at a buffet to justify that cost. Only comment about the pool - not everyone can sit on those lounge chairs (my husband for one), so I bought a chair at Walmart. It has worked out and Walmart was not a far trip. The location is great, close to the little beach for snorkeling as well as many terrific restaurants. It's not inexpensive, but for the location, not terrible.
