Hampton Inn Hopewell Fort Gregg-Adams

Comfortable room, nice staff.

very disappointed in the direction Hampton inns are going...not good at all. We are switching to Embassy Suites because they are the quality and cleanliness that Hampton used to be.

Very dirty and outdated hotel

I’ve stayed in many Hampton Inn’s and was disappointed with this one because they need upgrades. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful and I mean all the way down to the maintenance man. My room a/c didn’t work. The front desk lady offered me another room and also took the time to come check out the a/c herself. I didn’t want to repack and unpack again so I stayed in place. The bed was comfy but the 1960 chairs were not! I couldn’t sit at the desk long because the chair was very hard. Hot water in the shower was non-existent and I let it run for a good 5 minutes and got a few degrees above lukewarm. It’s crazy to believe this is one of the Hilton’s hotels because it sure didn’t feel like it. Maybe they overlooked the one in Hopewell, Va for upgrades.

I normally stay at the Hilton or their smaller hotels, (Tru,Hampton, etc). For the 1st time, I was disappointed with a Hampton Inn. Steer clear of this one because it’s the equivalent of a Motel 6. It’s clean, the staff is super friendly but it’s very dated! My a/c/heater unit was falling apart and didn’t work at all. The front desk offered me a new room but I’d already spread out by then. They must have the water set to a certain temp because my shower water was a step above lukewarm, and that’s after letting it run for 5 minutes. This place needs an interior facelift. The furniture was right out of the 1960s and rock hard. At least the bed was comfy. If I ever have to go to Petersburg again, I’ll drive a little further and stay in Colonial Heights.

Staff very friendly

I liked the look of the bathroom.

The bathroom sink was dirty and when I flushed the toilet a very loud noise came from it. It would last for about a minute followed by vibration from the pipes in the ceiling. Shower head was broken. Questionably if the bed sheets were changed.
