Expensive for a room in motel with no amenities

For an older motel and having stayed in many that were very disappointing, the Happy Salmon Motel was a breath of fresh air… from the lovely woman who greeted us at check-in to entering our very clean bedroom, bathroom and kitchen area. We were exhausted from a long day of traveling so we were really pleased that the bed was very comfortable and we had a great sleep. Even though the motel is situated close to the highway, we were not disturbed by any traffic noise or any other noise. The shower was great as was the coffee that was provided. Thank you Happy Salmon owners and staff for a very pleasant and restful stay. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is clearly an older building, but it was charming, extremely clean and well cared for with obvious updates and care taken to make guests feel welcomed.Our room #102 was very large ( two rooms plus bathroom). We had a kitchen table, full fridge ( which we really appreciated being able to re-freeze our ice packs for our cooler). Our daughter had lots of room to play in our room. We had just stayed at a very expensive hotel in Kamloops, and preferred The Happy Salmon over that hotel! The front desk clerk was very sweet, offered us additional towels and the cleaning staff was cheerful. We were very impressed, especially considering the price. We would definitely stay here again. The best motel experience I have had. Linens were clean and crisp, towels were soft and fluffy a d the a/c worked amazingly ! Overall a very good experience!

Excellent value for the money. Halfway point between Calgary and Vancouver, public beach nearby. If you are looking for an efficient stop over with clean beds and AC, and you aren't traveling with pets, the Happy Salmon is a great option!

Bed was horrible and the shower had 2 min of hot water. Staff would shut off the ac if you left for the day, so you came back to a oven

Found every way to charge us extra.

Was not exactly as advertised I have to say it was not my favorite place to stay it was noisy and I was in a back alley and no I didn't like it it was a poor service unfortunately nothing you can do about that I guess

all was excellent. The localization near de canoe Beach, let us to enjoy it
