Extended Stay America Select Suites - Milwaukee - Wauwatosa

I thought I was going to be murdered. No ice machine. There were blood stains on the ceiling and door. And it smelled like both smoke and maryjane.

Room dirty

Room that was initially given to us was not cleaned. Bathroom had dirty towels on sink. Literally seemed like nobody cleaned that room from whomever was previously in there. I will give the gentleman working reception some posiive points for immediately putting us in a different room akd meeting at newly assigned room to make sure it wasnt the same. Good value otherwise and pet friendly which we needed.

The rooms smelled upon entrance and the appliances and bathroom was not clean

The area was nice & quiet. Near a shopping mall. It felt safe up until I walked in to check in. The hallway smelled, the room smelled. It didn't smell like a hotel, but an apartment. Right when we walked into our hotel room, we were greeted with a stench of uncleanliness. I definitely recommend a deeper clean if they want to get rid of the odor. Definitely not staying here again.

Front deak attendant was extremely helpful and courteous. Hotel is a dump. There are people living there and it’s creepy. NOT happy. I am very glad I wasn’t by myself.

It’s a bit run down and aged

The room was very humid, the towels were old and rough. The hotel specifically said it was non smoking but the reception smelled like marijuana and our room smelled like cigarettes. The carpet looked like it had never been washed. The desk chair was dirty and stained.

The only reason I picked this hotel is because it accepted dogs. This is a very bare minimum kind of hotel. You are alotted 2 wash cloths & 2 towels with no soap, shampoo, body wash or dish soap. There is not any kitchen supplies and they only wash linens every 2 weeks. If you want to wash your clothes yourself, you can bring them down and pay $2 to wash and $2 to dry. There was a hair ball on the bathroom floor. The check in process took almost 30 min and the worker typed my email incorrectly twice, after he had it written down in front of him. I would not recommend.
