Holiday Inn Express Henderson N Evansville South by IHG

My room was clean and comfortable, and the maid service always made sure that the room was in great condition when I would come home after a long day's work. I was not too keen on the late 4:00 PM check in. I had been driving for 8.5 to 9 hours, and just wanted to take off my shoes and decompress, however I had to wait an additional two hours to check in. All this with a prepaid reservation.

Very clean and quiet stay. Breakfast was pretty good too

Comfortable. Well maintained. Had a tub. Good bed.

Our only issue was noise. It was the week between Christmas and NY. Very few guests were there. Our second night the desk placed a team of young basketball players in several rooms across the hall from us. They were noisy. Our third night - we came in from dinner and the woman at the desk said she was waiting for some late check ins. At 11:15 we were awakened by people arriving in the room on the other side of our bed. Again noisy. We didn’t appreciate these things, considering there were many rooms open. We would have appreciated the staff being more considerate.

The hotel was very nice and clean. We loved the soap dispensers in the bathroom.

The guy who checked us in couldn’t get off of his game to check us in properly. The one older lady at the desk is slightly unpleasant. She practically followed us around the hotel when we weren’t in our room during most of our stay. I won’t be back for this reason only, and that sucks because this is one of the nicer hotels in Henderson.

The lady at check in was sweet, got through the paperwork and information quickly and effectively.

Walking into the room, the bathroom wasn't clean. There was hair clogging the bathtub drain, hairs all around the bathtub and shower, feces in the toilet from someone previously. I had to clean the bathroom before doing anything else as I was told there was nothing to be done. The couple before me ended up checking out 10 minutes after checking in because of the condition of their room. At check out, the customer service from the manager at the front desk was beyond unprofessional. Her attitude and the way she handled everything was poor. Hopefully she was just having a bad day and she isn't always like that. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a holiday inn, which is sad considering it's my go to hotel when I stay somewhere. If you're looking for a holiday inn, I recommend either in Evansville.. avoid this one.

From the time we arrived all but one employee was most helpful, curious and interested in making our stay a pleasure. We asked for a down stairs room and were allowed to stay in one. We appreciated that so much we made reservations for next year. Regard the young lady w/ the scary body art in the breakfast area, you could have stolen the refrigerator and she would not have known because she was glued to her phone. We ate breakfast each morning and I believe we say her get up twice. The breakfast area tables were not kept clean rather we had to wipe them down ourselves. She dis clean some around the food while spraying the food and everything w/ whatever was in the bottle. She expressed no concern for cleanness or condition of the breakfast area including the food.
