Ramada by Wyndham Catlettsburg/Ashland

The exterior of the Ramada Limited may not catch your eye, but step inside, and you're greeted by a pleasantly decorated lobby and dining area. It's evident that they've invested in creating an inviting atmosphere. However, beyond this initial impression, the hotel's age becomes apparent. From the dated elevator to the rooms themselves, there's a noticeable lack of modernity. While the beds provide a comfortable night's sleep, other aspects fall short. The key reader to access rooms can be frustratingly difficult to use, and the bathrooms suffer from peeling wallpaper, detracting from the overall experience. Although the shower pressure is decent, the water temperature leaves something to be desired. Housekeeping oversights, like missed items from previous guests and a lack of fresh towels, indicate room for improvement in cleanliness and service. Additionally, the absence of a desk clerk for check-out makes it challenging to provide direct feedback on these issues. In summary, while the Ramada Limited offers some pleasant amenities, its dated facilities and lapses in service detract from the overall guest experience.

Easy check in . room very clean and nice. bathroom a little small. Abigail was very nice at the front desk and very helpful.

When I arrived after 10pm the check-in was very quick. My room was spotless and very welcoming. The bed linen was crisp and oh so comforting. I actually slept which is awesome because I don't sleep well. In short, the Ramada Inn was home away from home.

No power

Hotel was clean and staff very friendly. Only issue I had was my room was connected for a double and the guests in the other room were loud late at night. Otherwise, great hotel to be at.

Location: good for travelers. Entry: thought we were entering through a service entry but nope. It’s the actual hotel entry—a bit modest Desk help and checkin: excellent Elevator up: reeked of smoke Room: spacious, non-smoking floor but room subtly smelled of smoke and pot, especially in the bathroom. We think the wallpaper has absorbed it. Elevator down to find supper: shouting down the hallway; elevator reeked of pot Elevator up after supper: some left over smell. Shouting down the hallway. Can’t read because the lights are too dim, even with all turned on. Hour later: loud voices; 3 cop cars out front. More loud voices down the hallway. 11 pm: lady in adjacent room shouting out the open window to arriving friends. 5 minutes later: more friends coming and so more greeting them from the open window. Our window is open so that the fumes inside can blow out. I’ve a bad headache from the air. Midnight: quiet and sleep. Morning: can’t see out the windows much because they’ve never been washed it seems, but my headache is gone and the air is much improved, but yet for the bathroom. Breakfast: waffle iron is down but otherwise standard cheap hotel breakfast Desk help and breakfast room help: friendly and helpful. Overall: never again

The rooms need some insulation, we could hear our neighbors. In the morning when we went to breakfast, they were totally out of eggs and bacon. Everything else was very picked over.

Smelled of smoke in the hole place

This is an excellent hotel. The staff are amazing, especially Megan. She goes out of her way to make sure your stay is beyond pleasurable.

I mistakenly booked a smoking room, but the room was pretty clean. No issues with check-in and breakfast options were not adequate.
