Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown

The pool was nice. The Embassy Suites snacks and happy hour are always nice. Room was fine.

The hotel just seemed a little old, like the rooms need a tiny bit of freshening up.

Location but the area of the city has really turned into a place with a lot of garbage. The hotel was rather dated but clean. The breakfast was great but the location for breakfast was dark

Only downside no parking and valley is expensive. There’s a parking garage in the next block, but they weren’t against it.

The location, as relative to being so close to so many different lifestyle options, as well as a decent central hub for destinations and dining.

Unfortunately, while the age and history are very charming, the challenges associated with that history are evident, especially in the pool and lounge areas.

The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. Valet is fast, evening reception bar tender is the best, omelets made for breakfast were very good. The staff cleaning up at breakfast were very nice and quickly removed used plates.

We were very upset and disgusted to find roaches in our room. We had checked in late the first night and placed donuts in the refrigerator, the very next morning I saw a roach run from the refrigerator and run under the sink. The staff was great and accommodated a room change. It was cleaner but my husband also found a pebble near the wall, it looked like rat droppings, I surely hope it wasn’t but we are pretty positive it was. For being a higher end hotel I really expected more. The only thing good was the staff. They were very friendly and always had a smiling face. I was also promised and compensation for the first night but have yet to receive it?
