The Dude Rancher is my go-to hotel in downtown Billings. They have it decorated in a fun way, its always very clean, the staff are friendly and its super close to the downtown restaurants.

I like older motels that are clean and well taken care of. Unfortunately this is not one of them. I don’t go looking for issues unless they are so easy to find. The hardboard was covered in a very thick layer of dust. The room smelled so bad! Opening the window didn’t help. I checked in later, so I could have gotten the redhead stepchild room? Who knows, I won’t go back to find out.
