Excellent hotel. Enjoyed breakfast. Small pool but ok for cool down at end of day. Very friendly & helpful staff. Residential area but easy to use metro to city centre.

We used this hotel as a "home base" making a number of brief trips outside of Santiago, always returning. The hotel stored our ski equipment and various bags was we travelled out of the city for periods from 2 to 5 days. The staff were excellent, friendly and there was always someone there who could speak English (which is important if you don't speak Spanish!). We stayed in 3 different rooms all were clean and well maintained, the standard rooms are not large but they are comfortable. The hotel has a lovely lobby area with self serve tea and coffee available. There is definitely a European feel about the place. The area has a number of Embassies the streets are tree lined and feel very safe. It is a 1.4km walk to the metro,if the walk isn't for you there are cabs available.

Everything we asked for the answer was always the same: Can not be done. In order of events this is the story: 1) Our bed was not flat but with a "low" at the center. We asked 2 times to have this issue fixed and at the end it was not solved. 2) We found out that the electric current is 220 Volts. In my country it is 120 and the electric plugs are not the same. It was not mentioned anywhere on the literature I checked. At the end the hotel "supplied" 3 adapters at US$3.00 each one. 3) One night we arrived late, after 11 pm. The kitchen was closed and the hotel does not have 24 hour food service. I asked to the front desk person if she could call for me in order to get some pizzas. She told me she could not make the call. I am not familiar with the phone numbers in Chile and calling was challenging. 4) Another time we asked for breakfast, before 7:00 am, when the kitchen opens and we were told the only way to get breakfast before 7:00 am was asking for a Breakfast Box. I did ask for it. Next day when I asked for the Breakfast Boxes, surprise: There were not breakfast boxes. 5) There were some other issues I do not plan to take your time relating I do not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. We felt safe walking there even at night. The staff were always helpful and courteous. We dined in the restaurant three evenings because we found the food to be the best that we had in Santiago. Overall the experience we had at Hotel Bonaparte was excellent.

Comfortable, spacious, quiet room with a garden outlook in a lovely hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast was very good, as well the restaurant for dinner.

Great hotel, in low-key residential neighborhood fairly close to many interesting areas of city. Very attentive service, good breakfast buffet. Definitely would stay there again.

This hotel is a bit out of the way, about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Providencia. But the location allowed for a quieter experience. The staff were so very welcoming, helpful, and in some cases playful.
