Talkeetna Inn

The hotel was within walking distance of downtown, but it was quiet. (We didn't hear the band playing in the downtown park.) The hotel provided coffee in the lobby, but no formal breakfast. There was a bar and the Batman was kind enough to provide ice. Our room was small, but adequate.

A little rustic, no tv, close to river, walk to main drag, ok and probably as good as most , Alaska lodge higher end!

Wir hatten ein Luxuszimmer gebucht . Das Zimmer und auch das Bad waren klein. Zwei bessere Feldbetten fanden wir vor. Luxus war weder Wasserkocher und eine Tischlampe die bei Berührung anging. Wifi war in Zimmer 20 völlig miserabel, konnte nur in der Lobby genutzt werden. Ein schlechtes Hotel während unserer Alaskarundreise.

Enjoyable small town (village) experience

This is an older place and pretty tight quarters. No heat or A/C except for a wall heater and a fan. The single bed was comfortable just a little cramped. The folks were very nice and the area is beautiful, right on the river which was flooding while I was there. Not meant for anyone with physical issues. Town was very unusual.

We loved our stay, the lady at the reception was nice and welcoming, she explained everything about the property. Our family room was nice and of a decent size. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Everything was clean and tidy. No t.v. though or radio. I need these things to fall asleep. So it took a long time to fall asleep. Lots of food within walking distance. And nice paths to the river for some gorgeoous pictures. Desk lady was super nice!

Staff were kind and quite helpful. Common area with tables and free hot drinks was nice. The room was small but adequate. The walls were thin and noise was an issue one night (earplugs were provided). Reasonable budget alternative.

Good, quiet location.

Friendly, homey place, easy walk to restaurants and shops.
