Talkeetna Inn

We paid almost $200 and it esd horrible! There was no hot water in the evening and the entire next day because they had only partially filled the oil and ran out so by 1p the next day we were told we can go to the laundry mat around the corner to shower so we left- so rude! The room was the size of a closet 8’x8’ with 2 twin beds that filled the room so there was no floor space. Every wall paneling was all buckled, the beds were old and lumpy, pillows were terrible and towels were tiny. There bar in the photos looks large but it’s so tiny and since they close the lobby where you could sit at 8p and there’s no TV in the room you’re literally stuck sitting in a closet. Also there’s a wood deck walkway so you hear the clocking of boots on your head if anyone walks anywhere. Wouldn’t stay there if they offered a room for free.

Stay somewhere else, skip this town

Administración lamentable. Solicité si me podía quedar un tiempo más debido a una lluvia muy intensa, siendo la respuesta una amenaza, que si me quedaba más de 1 minuto me cobrarían una penalidad. Cero empatía, ninguna consideración ni respeto. Ya obtuvimos tu dinero, ahora lárgate!

Awesome property at an amazing river side location. The hotel has lots of game options and the Restaurant/Bar has a pool table which we enjoyed playing during our stay. Highly recommended!!

Room was small and had no tv, but was clean and staff were nice and helpful.

Lovely grounds, one block to town, next to beautiful river trail. Clean room.

It was perfect for us. Our room was clean, the staff were welcoming and so very helpful. The location was close to town. Then you had the trail behind the inn to the river and if you’re lucky you can see the mountain. (We were).

Love being downtown but off Main Street with a view of the river
