A fabulous hotel. Great location. Staff really friendly. Food delicious. I especially liked the shuttle to Mandela Square - really useful. The shoe shine guy was brilliant- we had been on safari & he cleaned our shoes on our return & they were like new.

Check in (and out) was frustratingly slow. Reception staff were lovely but I honestly don’t know why it took so long. One complaint is that the hotel booked us a taxi to take us to the airport & it broke down on the way there. Luckily I had good service on my phone and I was able to book an uber who picked us up within minutes & got us to the airport on time. It was very stressful. I emailed the hotel about it & asked for a refund but so far they have still not contacted me. I would have thought they would use reputable taxis but our driver told us the car had not been serviced for 3 years & it had been playing up for a while. The driver was very apologetic.
