Spark By Hilton Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport

Room had minimum furnishings but were pleasant and in very good condition and clean. Bathroom was spotless and shower water pressure was excellent for a hotel. Staff was very polite and helpful. Bed was comfortable and bedding was clean.

Breakfast was mediocre. Bagels, muffins, cereal, minimal fruit offerings, and oddly, boiled eggs still in shell. Coffee was not very good. No scrambled eggs, bacon, or sausage, but I realize that's a big ask for a facility. But still need to consider people who need to stay low carb.

This was bar none the most bare bones breakfast bar I have seen at an American hotel. And it was laxly maintained with, for example, the lone coffee airpot gone for nearly a quarter hour and the sideboard messy. A little easier to accept if there were a coffee maker or even water heater in the room.

Staff was kind of accommodating this time. The rooms and hotel are quiet and cozy.

For the airport pickup I was told to stand in a certain location with my bags and when the driver arrived he just went right past me and drove down quite a bit and I had to walk over to him with my luggage. The room was musty and the smell was so overwhelming I was changed to another room. The second room lost power and I had to he changed to a third room. The internet went out which affected my ability to work and affected the television. I did stay here before and didn't have any of those problems but the staff wasn't nice at that time. So overall, I like the location but it definitely wasn't what I expect from a Hilton hotel.
