Paisley Pear, Brackley by Marston's Inns

This was our first visit to the hotel as we had a family party nearby. The hotel and bar itself was very nice and modern. Our room was lovely and clean, the beds were very comfortable.

No complaints. Please put a little biscuit in the room to have with the tea and coffee

Breakfast wad poor, the rooms need a little work too. Staff were great though couldn't fault them.

Room was spacious and quiet although you can hear people walking around upstairs. Staff were welcoming. Very good choice at breakfast and freshly made

Room 109 no toilet cleaning brush. Sink drain partially blocked.

Location and comfort.

I heard someone outside my room at 5am and was a bit scared and couldn't sleep.. then when I finally got to sleep the cleaners burst in at 9am waking me up again despite the door being locked and do not disturb sign on. The bathroom smelled musty and there were crumbs on the sofa bed. 180 for 2 nights was too much compared to booking previously for 50 a night.

Room was clean. Staff worked hard to resolve our booking issue.

Booking had been removed when we got there, the staff were good and sorted it (sort of) we got the room we needed (disabled) but another family member had to be moved to enable this. This mess up happened as I had tried to cancel the room 3 months previous, but despite the long notice the venue refused because of the initial ‘no cancellation’ booking I had made. The breakfast was poor, the tea/ coffee station was filthy.

We were sent to another family room with no beds set up or made. No towels, sheets or blankets The first staff member decided to send us to the wrong room. No apology.
