The Barcelo was a wonderful hotel to stay at. It's close to a grocery store and some really delicious and wonderful restaurants. It has very polite staff and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in a long long time. The value was great, the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. The sauna and hot tub were wonderful. We went during the off season so it wasn't crowded, and we could use all the facilities for as long as we wanted without feeling crowded. We almost didn't want to leave the hotel, and we were on vacation! We went to El Salvador to go outside! 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

Excellent location. Hotel staff were hospitable and customer service oriented. The lounge for meals was excellent. There is a guest parking lot which I didn’t know about until check out. I’d stay here again to enjoy the amenities more. My CON: The rooms aren’t as illuminated—- very dim lighting. The water in the hotel shower was really warm. Again, my luck to always get assigned rooms that don’t have cold water.

Elevator very slow

La ubicación es excelente y el personal siempre muy atento. El desayuno estaba bien y variado.

Las instalaciones en general son bastante viejas. El ascensor no funcionaba bien, en varios ocasiones, tuvimos que irnos por las escaleras. La ducha tenía una presión exagerada y no se podía regular; si se hacía, el agua salía fría (había que escoger entre presión dolorosa o agua fría). Además, uno de los enchufes que estaba a la par de la cama no servía, si se apagaba la luz, dejaba de funcionar, es decir, en la noche no se podía dejar cargando el celular.
